Calin - It is exciting, although the wait can be hard at times, I hope your time comes quickly. Enjoy collecting all the newborn goodies, shopping for baby things can be fun, everything is just so cute .

Kismet - thank you so much for checking with your cousin, its really appreciated . I have looked through BH and actually saw the post of the bubhubber you referred to, amazing and so wonderful that she finally got two lovely children.
The asprin is something I have on my list to speak with my FS about today, Im interested to see what she says about it.
BTW - I hope your little one is feeling a bit better and you both have a good day today .

Wish - I wasnt asked to have a mamagram, but its probably good to have one, I wouldnt be opposed to it if my FS suggested it.

Wish - yes, please let us know how you go with your scan, Im sure all will be fine .

I saw my FS yesterday and Im doing an FET in early July, so really hoping all works out ok .

Kismet if your reading - I asked my FS about the ANA antibodies and she has actually done bloods for me, for numerous cotting issues, including ANA's and lupus etc (the nurse took about 8 tubes of my blood!!), but I wont get the results for about 2 -3 weeks. I mentioned to her about taking the asprin and she advised me not to take it as if I dont have anything wrong it may do more harm than good.
Im not sure if I should just take it or wait for the results , although if there is something wrong it will be to late to start as my FET is planned for early July.
I guess my question is, in your experience and your BH friends, have they all known there is something wrong before starting the asprin or have they just taken it hoping it would help?
I must admit Im now a little scared off as she told me it could actually cause a miscarriage if I didnt have any clotting issues.

Good morning everyone, gosh it sure is chilly in Melbourne today. I'm doing my best to shop up a storm and the plastic fantastic is getting a right ol' caning!! Still, the shops are so much better over here so why not?!

I'll certainly let you know how I go with the mammogram. A necessary evil I'm sure but can't say I'm looking forward to having the girls flattened!! I'm booked in for Tuesday.

Sugarberry, I can understand your anxiety over the aspirin. Most of the sites I've read have indicated taking the baby aspirin so not a full dose but then I'm sure your FS knows what she's talking about. I haven't been told to take it because of any problems so will be interested to hear more about what your FS had to say! Great to hear about your FET for July.... I'll be keeping everything crossed for you

    Have a great day

Hi everyone, I'm new to Bub Hub and just wanted to stop by and say hello

I'm also a singleton - like many of you, the relationship game just hasn't worked out for me, and the clock is ticking (I'm 40). I've had 2 IVF cycles - both cancelled as I couldn't grow enough or big enough follies. I was shattered both times. Sigh.

Currently hoping for an unexpected miracle by natural means, though I know it's unlikely.

Great to meet such lovely and supportive women here, I will be keeping my for everyone here as well.

Sugarberry - I do know of some people that took it just hoping it would help. I'm pretty sure that was the case with the BHubber that I mentioned before that had several failed cycles before taking it. I self medicated it, my FS said it wasn't necessary as I was already on clexane but I think I mentioned that I had read somewhere that they both can be taken at the same time for ANA issues. Clexane is prescribed so it's only taken if you do have a blood issue, there can be a number of blood issues that can affect falling pregnant apparently. My cousin was taking it because she had low platelets (whatever that means) and her FS said to try it and see what happens and well she has a baby boy.
It is upto you whether you decide to take it if no issues are found, but if you have reservations maybe not a good idea if you don't trust it. Hopefully you don't have any further issues. By the time I decided to add it in, I was so frustrated with it all I thought I had nothing to lose (except more $ but had already parted with a bundle by that point). I also took herbs in my last 2 cycles that my FS was dead set against.
Definately give the kiwi fruit a go, it's harmless and natural.
I also did acupuncture for alot of my cycles. At first I found it rather painful, I was going to someone that practices the chinese method, but the pain I was getting didn't feel right so I got into a very popular acupuncturist that specialises in infertility and had her for my last cycle using the japanese method which I found amazingly relaxing, I really think it helped too, but who really knows what it was that got me over the line, I like to think it all helped. I use to love going to acu & always felt relaxed and calm after a session, I also continued going during my pregnancy and I had a beautiful stress free pregnancy, not one sick day either. The day of my transfer I had a session before and a session after and she said to me when she felt my pulse that she was feeling twins. I had 2 embryos transferred and at the scan 2 sacs appeared but one was not viable.
If something shows up in your results you maybe put on clexane instead & you will have time for it. If it's not mentioned & there is a blood issue ask about it.

Have I mentioned DHEA?? Is anyone here on it?

Wishinghoping - welcome aboard. Glad you could join us!! Sorry that your first two attempts haven't been successful but I know that although I haven't been on here long if positive vibes and warm wishes and babydust help then we'll all have little bundles of joy in the new year!! It's a great forum.

Kismet - I'm on DHEA because of my low ovarian reserve. If I've timed it right by the time my donor is available I would have been on it 4-5 months which I understand is ideal. Fingers crossed hey?!

Wish - all the best for mamogram tomorrow, Im sure all will be fine , the 'girls' dnt get to squished! I think I will hold off on the asprin for now, I would hate for it to thin my blood too much and have that cause all sorts of issues, espcially if I dont need to take it.

Wishing&hoping - hello. Im sorry about your cancelled cycles , its heartbreaking when your so excited to start and then to be cancelled. I hope you can try again.

Kismet - thanks for all of your advice, again . I think I will hold off on the asprin at this stage and wait for the BT results. My FS mentioned an injection she would put me on if I needed it so Im guessing it would be clexane. I will be doing the kiwi fruit though, have been eyeing those off in the supermarket lately.
I have been thinking about accupuncture, so many ladies on here swear by it, I just dont have the $ at the moment unfortunately. Its interesting that the accupuncterist (spelling?!) new that you were carrying twins, very perceptive. I am sorry that one little one wasnt strong enough to hold on, but Im glad it resulted in your lovely little one.
Im not on DHEA, I have heard of it, but FS advised me that I dont need to think about that just yet, she said my eggs have been of good quality - I guess thats something good .

Thanks Sugarberry - I'm sure the "girls" will spring back into some semblence of normality after they've been squished!! I'll let you know how I get on. Got my blood tests back today. All normal except Vit D and Thyroid which are "borderline". I've just started taking Vit D supplements anyway, so that should be sorted. As for the Thyroid, I need to get it checked again in a couple of months. But all in all, very happy. Sooo, looking forward to your next round as you'll be a few months ahead of me. I'm going to live vicariously through you for a while - ha ha!

Sugarberry - I have noticed on your signature you have PCOS, are you taking metformin? Yes the injection is clexane. Sounds like your FS is doing the things that need to be done. If there aren't any other issues, that is a bonus. If your eggs are good quality, it is a matter of time for you to get your BFP .
My m/c was due to low level of progesterone which I heard is something seen in some pcos patients. I always requested to be put on high doses of prog support when I cycled after the m/c. My last cycle I had pessaries and pregnyl injections. The prog level in my pregnancy was high enough but my bloods were being monitored, once the clinic was happy with it they said I could discontinue it but I wasn't trusting it bcs the bt's showed the level went down again so I continued with the prog pessaries until around 12 weeks, the clinic said I could do that if I wanted, it cost me a small fortune for the extra support but it was for my peace of mind & worth it to me.
If you don't do the acu, one of the tips my acupuncturist told me to do at home was to use a heat pack on my tummy and lower back after EPU as often as you can to help the blood flow to the uterus (it also helps the pain). I'd lie down with it until it wasn't warm anymore than repeated every hour or so until I went to bed at night, and continue this everyday right up until the transfer, pop the heat pack on just before you go (I drove to my clinic with the heat pack on my belly). But don't use it after the transfer.
