nelle... lets hope that E picks up and goes well with her check up. Poor wee thing. such a worry with these little ones,

mums... lets hope that your first cycle goes well...

storm... good luck with sorting your cycle out.

    hi to everyone else...xx

baseline results back... E2 898 (should be around 100)... so my cycle is cancelled..
.sigh... I think it was because I had about 7 follicles between 7-11mm... so stimulated follicles and was not suppressed enough.... sure it was because of missing the 2 pills because I vomited... and the DHEA has an affect as well....grrrr

So $400 saizen down the drain..
. now gold coast trip is just a holiday conference...
I will try again next month... october 15th for EPU I think... If everything is suppressed on the pill... have a scan in 2 weeks to check

So another month of green drinks... and dhea.. and planning and hoping Im not oversuppressed... although at least the lucrin dose was only 1unit compared to 20units last time.... So more booking flights, fiddling more time off for work...arranging babysitter for DD..ie my mother to stay from NZ...so huge planning..
I will also head back to work a week earlier now since I dont need the time off now... and will need the chance for earning more $$ as well as take extra time off in october now.
Part of me is so dissappointed but I guess it gives my body time to settle down.. my hystereoscopy last week came back with a chronic infection of the lining..endometritis...so I have been on antibiotics for that..so it gives me time to heal and the lining settle down after another AF.
So Ive been off my diet for the last day..lol.. although did sort of have a healthy soup for dinner... but we wont talk about yesterday..lol..
Anyway Ill just continue to chugg and chugg....

Stormgirl - how did you go with it all??

Micca - so sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle! Wow can't believe the planning that happens with flights etc it's no wonder you have ditched the diet for a few days!

Afm- insem tonight!!! Fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly. I caved and bought my first thing for future baby yesterday! A lovely book! I bought it to keep me going if this first try doesn't work out. Something that I can look at when I feel like its never going to happen

    Hello,

I've just been reading some of the posts here and wish everyone TTC the best of luck!

After 2 years of trying I'm 12 weeks pregnant with a much wanted little one. The father is a known donor who I've been friends with for over 20 years. We tried ye olde traditional turkey baster method to start with , followed bu IUI and IVF (including four egg pickups/ five transfers). It's been a challenging journey to say the least.... but hopefully totally worth it! It still doesn't quite feel real (tho the morning sickness does!)...I'm off for my Down's Syndrome Scan tomorrow which I'm very nervous about... if I get good news I think I'll feel excited after that. I have two other children from a former marriage, and am very happy to be completing my family this way.

I'd like to join this thread to get some ideas about how to handle some of the issues that may come with this type of parenting - I hope I'm in the right place! - for example, what to put on a birth certificate.

Hoping everyone's dreams come true Jen

Tasjen - thanks for popping in! Your story gave me hope that good news does come! I just had my first home insem with a known donor on Friday so in the dreaded wait now. Ov pains been getting me down and have me stressed that something is wrong with my body but fingers crossed everything is ok and my bfp will come soon.

Quick update - we seem to live at the hospital with specialist apts and extra tests lol costing me a small fortune in parking and petrol but it's good to see miss Emelia steadily putting on weight hopefully our apt on oct 1st will be our last for a month or two til she has her next echo. I've also had my followup GTT and no diabetes which is great

Downside to things is the serious crunchie addiction I've picked up in the last couple of months j

Hi micca, sorry to hear your cycle got cancelled - my ended cause my estrogen was 25000 and i was days away from pick up!

My partner and i have been TTC for about 16mths and its put a lot of strain on our relationship. At times it feels its just me in this quest and i'm unsure if our relationship is going to last! Hence why i'm here!

I have always wanted children but have been waiting for Mr right to come along and if this relationship fails i will be devoed but I can't stand the thought of trying to date again, then eventually down the track decide to have kids....i will be years away!

So i am just in case half heartedly looking into sperm donors too. Does anyone know if they have donors from other countries e.g NZ? I'm from there and would love my children to be of the same nationality.

    I'm currently at QFG.

Also i have read previously that its an additional $800 to an IVf cycle to use donor sperm, is that correct?

chances... what a great attitude..you go girl....
dont know about NZ donors...probably find some NZ threads and ask them...
the extra cost for the cycle is the sperm cost... usually between $800-1000 at qfg they can cut the straw in half and get 2 cycles out of one straw.
