Hi Everyone, my flight from Sydney back home is delayed so a perfect time to catch up.

Nelle – I am so sorry to hear about Emelia but I am so pleased to hear that she has gained more weight and hopefully by now she has continued to do so. It must be so hard to be away from Bella, its important to get rest if you can. Wishing you all the very best.

Wish – Welcome back. If I am reading correctly this weekend is your next cycle!! Fingers are crossed for you to have a huge crop and have them all fertilise!

Roxy – How did donor selection go? Happy birthday for the 6th and I hope AF has come around already for you to get this show on the road.

Micca – Congrats on the Tax payout, I know that mine came in mighty handy although I had hoped for more. Great work on the weight loss, 3kgs is a fantastic effort!

Leanne – Wonderful to have you back. Sending you best wishes for your next cycle, you really deserve it so stay positive.

Baby – Soooo pleased you are happy with your FS. Good luck with donor selection and fingers crossed for your results.

Hope – Welcome to the world beautiful Molly! And Hope I wish you much joy with your little one and so glad to see your dreams come true. It gives me hope too (mind the pun) J

AFM – I had my 12 week Scan on Wednesday, Peanut was very excited to see me doing sommersaults and jumps – at least I now know where all that heartburn is coming from! I had to lie on my side for a while to try and calm the activity so the measurements could be done. I couldn’t help but smile the whole way through. A painful wait for my FS to call me the next day as I had to fly to Sydney right after my scan, but worth the wait as I have very low risk result when the blood tests and scan results were combined and everything looks good. I’m almost 13 weeks now and I am so much more relieved, I will be letting my team know at work on Monday – about time too as I am not doing such a great job at hiding my tummy.

To anyone I have missed I wish you all the very best with your journey.

Congrats 41Hope on the arrival of Molly!

For me Day 5 of injections -had a BT and Ultrasound today - my follicles are only 5mm so they are concerned they are not growing big enough...apparently they grow 2mm per day?- so I go back on Thursday for another BT and US and they said they wont do the egg collection if they are under 14 (and I've read somewhere they like them to be over 17) so will need to wait to see what Thursday brings.

Hope everyone else is doing well

Roxy, the same thing happened to me. They had me on a high dose and then as I was not responding had to increase if the last few days. I also found that accupuncture and moxibustion worked wonders. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Leanne, I will definitely be finding out boy/or girl at my 20 week scan. I am not good with surpises. I will breathe a little easier too by then I hope. Hope everything is going really well for you to.

Thanks Leanne, I will definitely be finding out as I am not at all good with surprises. Miracles however I can handle

Roxy, the same thing happened to me. The FS had me on the highest dose and then as I was not responded at all had to increase my dose to see what would happen. I also started getting accupunture daily instead of weekly and also did moxibustion which still permeates my spare room. Not sure which one worked but it did ok for me. Fingers crossed for you!!

    Leanne - welcome back
Lily - fantastic news from your scan. You must be absolutely thrilled.

Micca - Not long now until you're going again!

Roxy - my cycle buddy - I hope your scan Thursday gives you some better news and that the increased gonal works a treat.

    Hi to everyone else

AFM: Well, turns out blood tests last week weren't worth ****! My FS said I wouldn't get AF until this week, but it turned up last Thursday with all levels back to baseline. I had an ultrasound on Day 2, and as with other cycles, I had follicles hanging around. I had 4 follicles, 1 x 15, and 3 x 10. As my estrogen was low, my FS said they weren't estrogen producing so to start jabbing Day 3 and have blood test and ultrasound tomorrow to see what's happening. Fingers crossed they don't cancel my cycle or the larger follicles don't ovulate and bugger everything up!

    Hi All,

I have been offline since my last post. congrats ..41! well done from me too, best to you both. hugs.

I've just read all the posts since and everyone seems to have been busy. I apologise I wont do individual responses.

I had my EPU and ended up with 8. There were 13 follies on the last u/s but a couple were 25mm and empty??
Out of that 5 fertilised in one day then another 2 did the next day's check. we were going to go to blastocyst stage but they said the embies were starting to fragment and instead put a 7 cell back in at day 3.
none of the other's survived so no frosties

I either had a reaction to the crinone or they warned about a reaction from day 5-7 post EPU and I had to keep drinking fluid after EPU. The afternoon after ET I was a sick as a dog with severe nausea and vomitting for 4 days. Felt sore and sorry for myself as i couldnt take any of my regular antispew meds (the clinic suggested ginger) as i was in the 2ww and became dehydrated. of course it was over the weekend. I had to get bloods done on the monday morning and got to the FC and burst into tears with it. So they did some extra bloods to look fo OHSS and changed the crinone to 3 pessesaries/day of a different brand.

I had BhCG of 9.19 on day 10 but only got to 15.7 on day 12 and dropped back to 9 on day 14 which was 2 days ago, so crash and burn, i have stopped the progesterone and am waiting for AF. I also have to get another shipment from xytex.
The long down reg seems such a long cycle or is that normal for IVF?? It is really dissapointing that there werent any frosties so have to do the whole thing again. So here endth my first cycle and I cant get in to the FS for 3 weeks to work out where we go from here.
Is that what they call a 'chem preg'?

    Goldie
