    Default Selling MCN's?

    Hi

I am have also posted this in the nappy part but was hoping to catcha bit more traffic here hope thats ok!

Would anyone in tassie mainly hobart region be interested in a retailer in tas?

I don't know of anyone selling mcn's in tassie that are very affordable esp to ppl on a budget.

There would be things along the lines of nappy parties where you can view different nappies and ask questions on care etc and order at the end if interested?

    TIA

Im on the other side of the island but yes I think thats a really good idea. At the moment, i'm buying mine off the net because there is nowhere local to buy. It's really hard trying to explain MCN's to family etc too without being able to show them.

What types of things would you like to learn at a nappy party?

Also would a trial pack with maybe 1 nappy plus insert and an offer of a discount on a bulk buy of 4 or more nappies be of interest?

    Cheers

That all sounds good. I'm not sure what i'd like to learn. I'll probably have more for you once I have my baby and realise what I didn't know but I'd say the whole booster thing can be confusing and having everything shown to you would be a help. I have no one that I know who uses them so will be relying on the web and my own common sense to do it all. It would be a good party to have dads and grandies at as well. I know my DH & Mum are pretty sceptical about the whole thing. I'm also thinking that as well as personal parties, you could tee up with some mothers groups and arrange to go to a session or something? I personally have no friends so can't see myself having a party as such....

Sorry, not sure if that was any help! Hope it was

I'm in Tassie and I think that's a great idea! So long as the MCNs were quality. I know when I was looking into all the different types it did my head in!! Would have been good to be able to see them and ask questions of an "expert" for sure!

I think the idea of a nappy party is fabulous. I totally would have had one when I was pregnant, just as an excuse to invite all my preggo friends over and eat nibbles, etc.

    Thank you ladies!

    Keep the suggestions coming!

What would you love to see at a nappy party?

What is most important to you in a nappy?

emzluvbub - would you like to be able to look at different styles of nappies like all in ones or pocket nappies before bubs comes along?

Also what did you think of the offer of a discount for further purchases from buying a trial pack?

also would accessories be useful such as wet bags etc?

Yes yes and yes! Lol I would love to see them in real life. It's so hard just reading things online. Actually seeing it all would be fantastic and a big help I think. And discounts are always good. Wet bags, disposable liners, the squirt thing you can attach to the loo, dry buckets, all of those things would be good extras to have as an option...and eco washing powder. Another place to do the mcn presentation would be baby showers as then they could purchase for the mum to be!

jezzamiff - what do you count as quality?

from what i have and known others to use they are china cheapies. know of one person to use them for a year now with no issues and prefers them over other expensive brands and I have had no problems for roughly the last 3 months.

So no leaks, no elastic breaking or stretching etc

Knowing it was from china would that be a turn off for you despite the good testamonials?

later on there may be an option for me to hand make my own mcns or source other more known brands such as bumgenious or cushietushies.

emzluvbub - thats a great idea with baby showers i sure wish i had known the benefits of cloth nappies before my boy was born but it was all too hard. but it really isnt!

I will get up a list of more questions if its ok. am loving all the feedback thank you!

I'm planning on using the china ones. I've heard great things about them and the cheap price means that even if they didn't last as long as the exxy ones, it would be no different. I will have a few of the 'good' ones for going out and probably night time but as far as i've seen a lot of the ones from China are very good quality. but again, they don't work for everyone and each child is different....
