Hi all, I hope I've posted this is in the right place, if not mods please move it.
I have a 20 week old son who was born 10 weeks early so really is 10 weeks corrected. He has always met his corrected milestones, but he is really struggling with his hands. I love him regardless but am wanting to see if anyone has ideas of how I can help him improve movement & control.
He rarely places his hands anywhere but near his sides, his fists are still clenched like a newborn & when I try and encourage him to hold things etc it's more or less the clenching that will maintain a grip.
He is unable to pull his arms up towards his mouth? I am not sure if this is normal. I only ask as my sisters baby also born 10 weeks early is nearly 2mnths younger and he reaches out, grabs things, sucks his hands etc?
I know most babies do things in their own time I just want to be able to support him or am I being too wrapped up in prem problems & development?
TIA
