    Default Tupperware microwave pasta cooker

    Hi

I was just wondering if anyone has tried cooking rice in the Tupperware microwave pasta cooker?

    Thanks

I was at a tupperware party last week and asked this question, they recommend not using it to cook rice as the rice comes out claggy because water that boils over has no where to go. Also it does technically void your lifetime tupperware warrenty!

I'm a little surprised they told you it voids the warranty.......it wouldn't, unless you put oil/butter etc in it or put the lid on while cooking, as the lid isn't meant to be used for cooking. You would end up with a messy microwave and probably yuk rice, that part I agree with.

Even though they are made from the same materials, the design of the pasta cooker is very different to the rice cooker - so I wouldn't do it.

The rice cooker is different. I wouldn't use it the rice would go yuck.
