Default very full after sleeping all night

i posted in the breastfeeding section, but didnt get many replies so thought i would try here.

the last 4 out of 5 nights DS (9 weeks) has slept for 7-9 hours, which has been great but my bo0bs have been SO full and sore in the morning. they have even soaked through breastpads and onto the bed (i sleep on my belly) a few times.

if he continues to sleep like this, will i always be this full in the morning or will they adjust?

They will adjust, eventually (at least mine did) but the let down was Always monumental during that first feed of the day. I would put in a new breastpad and it would be leaking in the first 5 mins of the feed. Then I bought an Avent 'milk catcher' and would get minimum 40mls from one side from one letdown
Try sleeping on a towel for a little while, saves changing sheets so often.

Just in case you weren't aware... Sleeping on your tummy CAN have a negative effect on supply, and so can bubs sleeping through the nite.

Ds started sleeping through at 4wks and was absolutely un-wakeable. It didn't affect my supply at all until he was 4months, but I was told regularly that it *could*. I got up and expressed at 1am for a week or so, but it felt wasteful to have such a good sleeper and still being awake in the middle of the night

I used to worry about the same thing but they do adjust! Particularly because your DS is still so young and your supply is working itself out. I used to wake up at 3 in the morning and express when DD slept through because I was so full (sleeping through didn't last BTW ) but that made the issue worse as my body thought bub was still drinking!

It will definitely settle down over the coming weeks

Dont worry they will settle down, i was in your situation about a month ago and my dd is now 14weeks and sleeping 8hrs and the pain and fullness stopped a few weeks ago.

They adjust but it is a pain in the bum. Mine use to wake me up. Not fair when your boobs wake you up and not your kid might I add. I use to express a little just for comfort when I woke up. I stopped needing to after a few weeks.

    Hope they settle down soon!
