    Definitely #1. It's average sort of height yet it has storage and can be changed by changing the sheets/doonas ... you never know if your dd starts disliking princesses at age 6 you'll be frustrated with the princess bed. And if it's super cheap it might not be that well made.

    With the other choices they are really high for a 4 year old. They are almost bunk bed height and I think age 8 is the recommended age for that. My ds is 4 and he's only fallen out of bed twice, but he likes to jump too and I think the temptation of jumping from the high bed would be too much for him!

    I like the trundle and drawers (3) or the desk one (5)
    Both are unisex too, so can be used for other kiddies later
