    Default Centrelink Question

    Im pretty sure I know the answer to my own question but I was just wondering if anyone else knew aswell...

    Im pretty sure once you turn 21 your payments go up??? could someone fill me in on that

    I actually don't think that's the go anymore. Newstart works differently now..
    and i think it also depends on what type of payments you are on.
    Your best bet is to probably ring them and just ask.

    Im guessing it would depend on what sort of a payment you are getting?

    If it is the parenting payment, i dont think it changes?

    once you turn 21 you get put on newstart and its a higher rate then youth allowance this is what c/link told me.
    DS#1 2005
    DS#2 2006
    DS#3 2008

    Yep I only think this is newstart/youth allowance and it doesnt change if you are on a parenting payment
