Default Help! My toddler wont stop eating!

My toddler does nothing but eat! Hes 18 months old this week and eats alot more then I do. He is going to big when he grows up. Was measured today at 97cms and around 16kgs (very solid, stocky build). His typical menu is:
Breakfast- bowl of porriage, yoghurt and fruit, 150mls milk
Morning tea- fruit/fruit smoothie plus biscuit or mini savoury muffins
Lunch- Bowl of vege (spinach, sweet potato, pumpkin, corn, broccoli etc) mixed with tuna or chicken. Or sandwiches or baked beans
Afternoon Tea- piece of fruit or raffertys banana bar
Dinner- More vege with some brown rice mixed in, plus whatever meat I am eating that night. He then steals at least half of my dinner and have another 150mls of milk. Tonight he had custard as well.
I give him unlimited water during the day

He woke up at 1am last night wanting more food! Im trying to bulk up his meals with some carbs to fill him up. Hes not fat at all! But I dont want to overfeed him. He is an extremely active boy. What is everyone elses toddler eating around this age? Do they have a growth spurt about now?

    Sounds pretty normal to me!!!

My 21mnth old eats a very similar diet-

He has 3 weetbix for breakkie, plus a peice of toast, and fruit on his cereal!!

The main thing that differs is his arvo tea, he has something a bit more carby- I tend to give him a couple of sweet bisc for morn tea (arrowroot, milk coffee etc) with his fruit... then savoury for arvo tea, dry bisc with vegemite and cheese, rice cakes, savoury muffin/pancake/fritter, rice wheels- that sort of thing. Plus some sultanas or apricots.

Plus I let him have access to fruit through the day too (within reason of course!!!)

It's amazing what they can put away isn't it!!!!

he eats heaps but isn't fat just a tall boy. But so does my dd. She is 13 months and has.

    3 weatbix & a banana
Morning tea is fruit yoghurt and cheese
Lunch is 1.5 sandwich or tuna chicken and veg pasta
Afternoon tea is half a sandwich and an orange
Dinner is veg and meat pasta
Then she usually eats some of mine as well.

She eats more then any kids I know her age and is 84cm and only 9.75 kilo.

Thats good! He just seems to be always eating. He has even started stealing food off the bench and Im feeling guilty thinking that Im starving the poor kid! I caught him with the butter container today trying to eat butter with a fork and that was straight after a large meal. I try to give him as much fruit and vege as possible. DS loves sultanas, so he always has access to a box. I also leave a container of rice crackers on his table.

Mine DS hardly eats a thing compared to your kids.
He is 2.5 yo and he'll eat.

Breaky- Piece of toast with honey, few spoonfuls of weetbix
Morning tea- A Cruskit, little bit of chopped up fruit.
Lunch- Few spoonfuls of baked beans or half a sandwich
Afternoon tea- some carrot, cucumber, celery, crackers with dip
Dinner- He is pretty good with dinner and will eat a decent amount.

He mainly drinks water and has about 2 cups of milk a day.

But most days he isn't interested in much food between breaky and dinner, he worry's sometimes but he isn't skinny.

He sounds like my DS who's the same age, although I wish he was a bit heavier, he weighs 10kilos so little bit light. Still very good appetite. His diet seems fine to me, plenty of carbs in porridge, sandwiches, rice, potatoes etc and you should be doing cartwheels on the amount of veggies he's eating!

You've got another near 20 years of that sort of appetite...

7yo DD eats more than I do, DS eats non-stop and eats more than MOTH

Both my kids are the right height /weight proportions and in fact are slight on the skinny side

I figure its only going to get worse in the teenage years. Working on his height now, he could easily end up 6'4- 6'5 fully grown and he also has a very solid build. I've never been a big eater and I dont know where he packs it all away!

Sounds about right to me too

My DS is 20 months, and eats a very similar diet (and lots of it!). He's at the other end of the scale though - we've only just managed to sneak over 9kg
