You can get cheaper sleeping bags from target, big w, best & less, etc, if the grobag is too expensive? I'm sure they're prob not as good quality but I use them& they are fine, & perhaps it would be good just while u see.if your bubba likes them, then maybe you could get the 6month grobag later on if she.does like to use a sleeping bag? They're usually about $20
