Talking The Large Family 'PLAY' Challenge..... are you up for it??

It seems there are a lot of us who really struggle to find the time to just play with the kids and leave the mountains of housework.....

So I thought I'd start a PLAY CHALLENGE!!!

    The challenge is this.

Every day- find some time to play with your kids and then share what you did. it may be as simple as reading a book with them.....

    You up for it???

Today we went to the local pool and had a bbq followed by 2 hrs in the pool, then a easter egg hunt in the sensory playground. I made sure I played with each child in the pool and then again on the playground.

Let just say the towels I put in the machine this morning are still there
Is blessed to have 6 wonderful kids.

Yes! I'll give it a go. And I wont even cheat & include bedtime stories, because those are a constant here - no matter how chaotic.

    Great idea!

Yesterday I took DD1 for a milkshake with a friend of hers before we did the groceries (is this cheating since I am friends with her mum and we had a coffee?? LOL). Then DH walked with the other kiddies down to the centre and we did the free easter craft and helped them all decorate noodle boxes/cut-outs of rabbits/eggs.

    I'll play ....
Yesterday we went to an easter day at the library, had an easter hunt, did easter crafts with them, took them to the park, came home and after dinner i sat for 40 mins drawing pictures with them before bed.

Today with the 4 youngest we pick lemons with our fake grandma and our real one and then we went of to beach. I have had a few quick chats with the eldest but no D and M as yet but the night is young.

I'll play today we played star wars with pretend light sabers. Totally inappropriate of course but it was their choice lol. Wish DH had never let them see the clone wars cartoon last week. Won't be happening again thats for sure!
    Now we are six: DH, Me, DD1, DD2, DS1 & DS2.
