Gastro or not? Please help

Hi. I'm new to all this, but my daughter is sick and I'm doing what mums do best - gather together to see if we can find a solution.
My 3 year old has been suffering gastro symptoms for almost a week. That's fine, but what is unusual is that it's every 2nd day. One day she is vomiting, the next day she is completely fine. Then the following day she is vomiting, next day she's fine. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this with their child? I have taken her to see our GP who is just as perplexed as me, but due to it being gastro-like, there is no antibiotics etc he can give her.
I'm not sure what to do, and how long to let this go on for. Can anyone please give me some advice? I just don't know what it is.

Sounds gastro/ tummy bug - like. I would imagine if she feels ok the 2nd day then she may (?) eat again, or increase intake and then tummy is still not ready for it and makes her sick again the following day IYKWIM.

I would pop down to chemist and get her onto some inner health plus to help her tummy get back to normal and make sure she's on plenty of fluids.

I have heard gastro can last weeks in children. It is no more a '24hour' bug.
