Unfortunately @Chyna there is no saving on costs... it is double the cost of going O/S and we don't get a holiday , but there are some advantages to it. And getting my DP over there was going to be an issue with his work... I'd started to look into transporting the frozen boys over there, but it was getting too hard. This way our donor is known and our embryos are here in Australia so if we need to do further FETs or a sibling we don't need to travel.

@Gen72 - I think your right there is definate advantages of organising things over here for your donor its hard enough working appointments etc around life in general without the added stress of traveling. Good luck with your skype session hope you feel shes a good fit for you and you can make a plan to move forwards. Might just see you there on Tuesday lol!

@Gen72 oh wow. I have no idea about costs but at heyside mentioned at least everything is here in Australia and more accessible. I really hope your chat goes well too. How exciting.

Sorry a little off track, but where do you ladies park when you've got appointments in springhill and does the clinic give you parking discounts or anything? Money's tight atm.

I normally park on street if can are metered or there is a parking station behind practice but no parking discounts. You could always get the train to central and walk up aprox 5min walk.

I tend to park back on boundary street just off upper Edward street on the metered parking. Its a bit of a walk but the meters are cheaper than parking closer, worth it when you go a few times a week.

@Tinachris do you mean when you go to Watkins Medical Centre or QFG for bloods? If seeing Wazza there is metered parking on Wickham Terrace and also in Albert Street, Spring Hill (not to be confused with Albert Street in Brisbane City) - you just walk through the park to Wickham Tce. The parking in Watkins is not cheap (and neither is the pharmacy). The cheapest car park would be the City Council one (corner of Wickham Tce and Turbot St), but I'm not sure how much. If you are going for scans you can usually get a metered park, but make sure you pay after 7am as parking inspectors can start up their early (I erroneously got a ticket recently - which they cancelled when I gave them receipt). If you go to QFG at 55 Little Edward for bloods - you can park underneath (off Hope St) and they give you a voucher so it is free.
