Thanks for your thoughts, and your support...have a great Christmas.
Gen, so sorry luv that you didn't get your Christmas miracle. We were all fingers crossed for you. But remember you gave it your all and that's what you set out to do. So you should be proud.
Hey - the upside is you've got 2 options plan a and b. In 2016 you and I are going to be lunching with babes in arms remember!

Gen- I'm so sorry you have had this disappointment. Christmas makes it 10 times worse of course I had 22 of my own 'great looking' embies transferred and now have 2 beautiful children thanks to donor eggs. It's so miraculous that there are such unselfish people willing to donate their eggs. It makes all the difference, and I love my son and daughter to bits.

Wishing you a safe, loving Christmas day, and may 2016 be your best year ever.

Thanks for your thoughts and kind words ladies... it does suck and timing isn't great, but I guess I'm a little too use to the negatives...DP not so much, he takes it pretty hard, but I had prepared him a little better this time. We're just now 'thinking' about our next move unfortunately he is back off to WA for work on Monday so not a lot of face to face discussion time.

I am here to ask you ladies about weaning off prednisone... Warren's rooms were supposed to phone me back but must have gotten busy.

I asked my pharmacist and he gave me what folks using it for 'other purposes' such as arthritis might start wean. Just wanted to see if this is what others have used.

I've been on 25mg and he suggested I take 15mg for 3 days, 10mg 2 days & 5mg 2 days.... how does that sound? I was thinking that it needed to a bit longer.

@Gen72 Apologies for the belated reply Luv.

I'm just so sorry to hear of your BFN...so bloody unfair & heartbreaking!!!😦 ((((Hugs)))

As for the Prednisone....I was on 25mg's too & my instructions from FN Kate were to reduce by 5mg's per week until down to 2.5mg's. Take that for 1 week then stop.

I have heard of weaning being done the way the Pharmacist mentioned too.

    Hope this helpsxo

@Gen72 my DH took it hard this last failed cycle too... He works away also.

I would reduce it a little slower, by 5mg each time... But everyone is different xx

@Gen72 I'm sorry for you and DP. I hope you come up with a plan that works for you. I agree it is a lot harder over Christmas.

With the prednisone. I was on 50mg. My instructions were to reduce every 4 days, at the following doses: 40, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5 and then 0. I'm 7 days through this without any negative side effects.

Thanks for your advice on the prednisone....I changed my reduction slowing and seem to be OK. Thought about phoning Warren's rooms to check, but figured it all sounded ok so wouldn't bother them.

I'm about to send off some emails to the O/S clinics for info and also to the traveling donor program so that when DP is home at the end of the month we have some info and think about making some decisions about what to do next.
