@Gen72 my DH took it hard this last failed cycle too... He works away also.
I would reduce it a little slower, by 5mg each time... But everyone is different xx
Gen72 I'm sorry for you and DP. I hope you come up with a plan that works for you. I agree it is a lot harder over Christmas.
With the prednisone. I was on 50mg. My instructions were to reduce every 4 days, at the following doses: 40, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5 and then 0. I'm 7 days through this without any negative side effects.
Thanks for your advice on the prednisone....I changed my reduction slowing and seem to be OK. Thought about phoning Warren's rooms to check, but figured it all sounded ok so wouldn't bother them.
I'm about to send off some emails to the O/S clinics for info and also to the traveling donor program so that when DP is home at the end of the month we have some info and think about making some decisions about what to do next.
Hello! I,m new and have been just reading these comments with lots of interest. I've just turned 37 and have had 1 failed IVF cycle and iui. I have an Amh of 2.? Ridiculously low. Hubs has no issues. I have made an appointment for Dr Mooring in February as the wait for Dr Wazza was late September. I need another option, as lovely as my current QFG dr is I need another opinion. It's been reassuring to see the positive comments about Dr Mooring. I'm hoping I have 1 or 2 eggs left........ Thanks ladies it's been wonderful to read some of your comments and stories.
Tinachris...Charlotte is lovely and very good. I saw her while Warren was away during one of my cycles. Warren & Charlotte are definitely my choices as far as the QFG Dr's go. I had two previous FS through QFG and I feel that they were just in it for the money and didn't have 'getting me pregnant' as their first priority.
THank you Gen72 for the feedback.
i feel so lost sometimes.
hopefully my change of specialist will help a little with that feeling.
it will be interesting/scary/nerve wrecking to hear what she thinks.
I just keep thinking "there's ways around every obstacle."
Has anyone here spoken to QFGs councillors? I'm thinking about it..
I have spoken with the nurses quite a bit with regards to different thoughts... and they have all been lovely. We have spoken with the counsellor only when we were doing our donor cycle and it was a requirement... but, he was wonderful. My advice would be if you are thinking about it, do it, its probably exactly what you need and I'm sure they will be able to help you sift through all the feelings and emotions.... and we all know that there are lots of them.
I totally agree with Gen72, the nurses are fantastic and very helpful. Definately give Charlotte a go and good luck x
