Default New to Wazza - last chance own eggs - Estrogen priming

    Hi Fellow Wazza ladies
I'm 41 with an 11 year old DS (naturally conceived in my previous marriage) and DH is 44 with a 6 year old DS from his previous marriage (conceived with ICSI/IVF) and we've been trying for over a year (since I was 40+4mths) to have a bub together. As a former single mum I've been dreaming of a second little one for a decade and didn't meet my DH until I was 39 hence the DOR and my low AMH of 1.5.
6 cycles of ICSI later and with only one BFP resulting in a 6week miscarriage in July - I've gone to Wazza for a second opinion... He's recommended an Estrogen priming cycle with BCP starting off, endo scratch and lipidol flush. AF just arrived today so I'll be starting with the BCP this weekend.
I've been following Wazza's supplements list off and on (only took DHEA for one month due to cost)..

Can anyone relate or give me advice for this Estrogen priming protocol?
Next step is donor eggs but I'd love to give this last try its best chances.
    Thanks ladies
    MamaKes

It's been a couple of weeks since I asked about cancellation appts with Warren. Just wanted again thank those that did reply and advise they earlier appointments do come up. I actually had my first apt with Warren a week after I posted that message and am currently 7 days into an FET with my donor egg.

Although we didn't hear what we wanted to hear, I think it was what we needed to hear.

Warren feels that our best chance for having a baby is to use a much younger donor and he thinks that doing overseas will be our best option for making this happen.

We'll use up our last frozen embryo from our donor egg and then we have a lot to think about. And I guess I have a lot of stalking/reading to do on the egg donation forums. If anyone has any personal stories they'd like to share with me I'm more than happy to listen/read.

I think we're more overwhelmed now (a year into IVF) than we were at the very beginning of this journey.

Thanks again...maybe I'll be back with our own Warren appreciated story.

@Gen72 Wishing you all the very best of luck with this frostie you have onboard and prayers being sent it gets you over the line to a BFP!!!

If you do have to think about DE again, here's a link to the ED thread:

WOW that is a lot of reading, I'll be a seasoned stalker by the time I've read them all. I'll start now and maybe by the time I'm done we will be close to making some decisions.

Sorry, not quite on board yet...only CD9 so have to go for lining check on Monday and then of course we have to see whether or not it survives the thaw and grows out to day 5.

In the meantime we have to decide by CD20 whether to get started for another fresh cycle with Warren. Has anyone ever started a down reg for a fresh cycle, while in the middle of an FET? We really don't know if we're wasting our money doing another fresh cycle. Warren doesn't hold out much hope, but we kinda feel that now we have managed to get in to see Warren we should give it at least one shot.

Always seems to be another decision to be made, it gets quite exhausting. And we feel like we are always making the wrong decisions and going around in circles.

    Thanks again for the link.

When warren says there is not much hope then there is not much hope. If you will look back and kick yourself for not giving it a go then you need to do it. Rest assured he will give it everything if you do decide to cycle. Best of luck with your fet

Gen - warren had to deliver the same unwelcome (at the time) news to us to. We too did a fresh cycle with him after which it became blindingly obvious that he was right. At the time that we started looking into all the info for a DE cycle we were quite overwhelmed but within a short period of time (and the help of the DE boards that @BiB mentioned ) we soon got our head around it all. 4 months later we were in Cape Town doing our first round!
We ended up doing 2 rounds to get our BfP thanks to Warrens help with an immune protocol. Fast forward to now and we are currently in the 'thick of things' nursing twins who are now19 days old...
Sometimes those hard conversations and even harder decisions lead to beautiful things..
