I'm so glad your appointment went well! I found my first appointment so refreshing! If you have hit the Medicare safety net, it would be sensible to squeeze a cycle in before January as you'll get more money back.

We have hit the Medicare safety net so I'm pretty sure we will. I needed a couple days to process all the information and work out all of the meds and supplements but I think I'm slowly getting it.

@mummymaybe, that all sounds great!! I sure hope I get my call soonish too. I love reading that even though he's clearly such a busy man, he still took all that time with you to discuss your past and now future cycles....LOVE IT! Can I please ask, what did you do about your current FS? Did you tell them that you've now changed FS's? Or are you planning on just not going back or ever saying anything to them? I kinda feel like I'd have to say something or else they'd be calling me up to see if I was ok. Actually if I got the call within the next couple of months, I'd have to get my frosties moved to Warren in Brissy.

So do you usually do an Antagonist cycle and he's changing you to a long down? I'm kind of in the same boat as you in one regard as I was coming around to the idea more and more that I would have a break until the new year as I didn't want to be miscarrying over another Christmas but then my latest appointment with my current FS blew me away with him deciding to put me on the Bondi Protocol. After thinking it through for two days, I think I will squeeze this last cycle in and so I'm going to pick up all of my drugs today.....sure hope I don't regret it!

Which way are you leaning do you think.....one more this year or leave it until next? Are you thinking more about money reasons or emotional reasons? I hope you choose the right choice for you.....at least you know you're in the best hands now

@Ladydee, I just sent the request for medical records to my old FS. So they were able to send my details to Warren. They hadn't sent then so I had to pick them up on my way to the appointment and I actually ran into my FS (so awkward) and just thanked him for putting the info together and explained I wanted to try something new.

Depending on how you feel maybe explain to your current FS that if this cycle doesn't work you want to try a fresh approach.

I didn't let my specialist know because I really felt like he didn't care.

Yes I've only done antagonist cycles before so this will be new. I'm pretty sure we will squeeze this cycle in before Christmas.

@Ladydee I was worried about telling my fs too! I really liked him we just needed to try something new. It turned out that our appointment with wazza ended up being on the same day as our follow up appointment with old fs. I was really nervous about how we would tell him/what we would say but he already knew from the request to transfer medical records and he was really good about it - pretty much said it was good we were getting a second opinion because he still couldn't pinpoint our problem and was surprised our previous cycle didn't have better results. He wished us well and said if there's anything else he can do for us to give him a call. We've ended up going back to him for obstetrics.

I'm glad I'm not the only one @phee83! I like mine too and would love to have him as our Ob (should we be so lucky) as I do think that's where his passion is and what he's best at. Where were you at in cycling when you got your call from Wazza's rooms? I'm wondering what I'll do if I get a call from them to come in towards the end of my TWW? Or even if I get pregnant again, I think I'd probably go and see him anyway I guess? I've miscarried 4 times up until 11 weeks so it'd be weird as the whole appointment would be "if you miscarry again, then I want you to.............and then we'll try..........." Even though I might be a couple of months pregnant?! I hope I fluke a cancellation call in-between cycles somehow. Your old FS, now Ob sounds very nice and professional in how he/she handled you going to someone else

I had just had the negative blood test from my cycle (which is why I already had the appointment booked with my first fs). I would have gone to the appointment with Warren at any stage of the cycle just to have the preliminary discussion about our situation and his opinion etc.

I felt bad about telling my old FS as well but like others have said I thanked him and said I just needed to try a different direction and honestly I think they are really ok with that. He is now my Obs and was delighted I was pregnant!

I was lucky. After 6 cycles my FS had told me there was nothing more he could do for us that he wasn't already doing. He told me that our best chance was to look at donor egg or sperm. Unfortunately that clinic (Wesley Monash IVF) do not do donor cycles so we had no choice but to find another FS. Wazza did the first one on our own and said our best bet was to get donor eggs. We ended up with a beautiful (but mischievous) little girl on our first donor cycle and another BFP on our second cycle which sadly ended in a MC. I don't doubt his skills for a second.

I had a needle in a patients arm and missed a call from Wazza'a rooms and by the time I called back, someone else got the cancelled appointment for tomorrow! Sooooo disappointed as I've just started Provera for my next cycle
