Chayne - how have you been feeling? So exciting for you, hope the next 8 months fly by

DD - been thinking of you dear, I hope this is your year

Woowoo - I hope you get your BFP soon but if you want to try IVF, then at least that's another option for you. It's not that bad, I'm about to do my 4th cycle and I hope it's my last. Why doesn't your DH want to at least try IVF, you've got nothing to lose. Have you tried telling him how you feel about having another baby?

Lucky - hope the Chinese herbs are helping out. Best wishes this month, how did you cope going back to work after your year off? Hopefully you can go on leave again in 9 months time

AFM - just waiting for my dear friend (NOT) AF to arrive, due today or tomorrow, probably tomorrow as we're leaving for the Gold Coast for our first family holiday, so exciting. We have gone on weekends away to the Central Coast NSW, which is really nice, but this is our first big holiday since our honeymoon and DS's first time on a plane! Haven't even packed yet and we have to leave bright and early in the morning. I hate packing though, going for a weekend away is bad enough, but we're going away for 6 days and I always over pack. Woowoo, you said it best when you wrote that going on holidays is hard work! I'm tired already and all I've done is got our bags out!

Mum to Chris, the Chinese herbs are good, but my doc got the results of my blood test back on Wednesday and my thyroid is playing up (my tsh is high), (and low last month) she said that would explain my short cycles and it would be hard to get preggers with this thyroid problem. Luckily it is easily fixed with a daily hormone pill and she reckons next month I will get pregnant.

I guess it's good to know there was a problem, but frustrating that I will have wasted three months trying to get preggers, especially at my age of 39.. But good in a way that it is easily fixable, I just have to endure another month of TTC. Oh well have to be brave!

    Default RE: Travelling

    Hi Ladies,

    Thanks for the congrats.

I been okay havent really been feeling sick at all.

We had a bit of a scare on Sunday - was in the ER, i had a threatened Miscarriage - scariest thing i have ever been thru in my life!

Had a ultrasound on Monday - we have a healthy little baby with a heart beat at 5w3d. Due date is confirmed 7th September!

Other then that, just heartburn, my boobs are a bit sore, and headaches - are killing me.

How is everyone else holding up. FINGERS crosses for BFP for everyone!!!

Luckyme - hope the hormone pill is helping your thyroid out and your doc will be right that you'll be UTD next month!

Chayne - so sorry to hear that you had a threatened miscarriage, that is an awful thing to go through. Best wishes for the next 8 months.

Thanks mum2chris, I hope so too, I'm even holding hope out for this cycle. But it is an extra stress I don't need on trying to get pregnant. I have been not sleeping well since I found out and I'm scared I won't be able to have another baby given my age.

I'm thinking about asking my gp for a referral to a specialist if I don't get preggers this cycle as I don't have time to waste. Luckily I have a fs I saw when I was Trying to conceive my first, as I had two miscarriages. I'm just worried I might offend her as she thinks I'll get preggers next month, so keep your fx she's cool about it. How do you all keep stress free in the tww.

Got af today, even earlier this time on cd26. So god knows what my cycle is now.

Depressed, off to go to persuade her to give me a referral to my old fs. Wish me luck.

Just wondering - is having a shorter cycle a sign of a thyroid problem?

I had my DS in Jan 2011, and my AF returned after 3 months (I wasn't able to breadtfeed, so maybe that's why it returned so early).

Before getting pregnant my cycles were always 28 days with my period lasting 7 days and now they average 27 days and my period last 9 days!

We've just started trying for #2, so maybe if nothing happens after a few months I might see a doctor about it. I actually thought that maybe the pregnancy just changed my cycles.

I don't know, maybe you should see your doctor.

    Good Morning Girls xx

Krissy - great to hear from you x Hope you guys are well. Thanks for your support.

Luckyme - so sorry to hear AF came. I would definately get the referral to FS. Don't worry about offending your Doc. She will get over it - but you won't if this doesn't happen for you!!
Maybe this month - being a full month on the thyroid meds - might do the trick for you!! FX
When is your appointment with the FS?

Mumtochris - I hope your holiday does a world of good for you!! It might be just what you needed. Maybe your body will come back fresh and ready to conceive!! FX

I haven't spoken to DH in depth yet. I'm seeing my ObGyn this month. I think I'll speak to DH in depth after that.
Mumtochris I'm glad you said IVF is not that bad. I'm not a sook - I'm pretty tough and don't complain much so hopefully IVf will treat me kindly! But I'm hoping we don't need it.

I'm on about CD12 today. A bit of cramping but no CM yet.....?
I might try an OPK this morning.
I'll let you know how I go.

Have a good Saturday girls xx
