Shy - god your having a rough trot - i can sympathise with most things you mentioned. sorry about your neice, not sure what else to say......back i can totally sympathise with, i also had a ganglion on my wrist when i had max - got it fixed though - max did it kill when i rolled my wrist...With bottles, i know you have probably tried nearly everything but the twins were shockers on 'normal' bottles - by that i mean the common brands/teats. We tried everything but they refused - they had to take it though as they were in top ups till 5 weeks for weight gain. Anyways, there is a prem range of bottles at baby bunting - called gro baby - they have what is called a 'long barrel teat' and teh milk just whooshes out really fast so they dont have to try at all for the suck. I understand you a really long way from abby bunting but i have 4 we dont use anymore, so i'd be happy to post you one so you can try. Sounds like you really need some time out without the pressure of being 'on call' for a feed. Hope you are getting some rest today xx

Kiwi - poor sammy, bound to happen though if everyone else is sick xx

well - mumma got paid this morning for all my sleepless nights and being the milk bar - Annabelle cracked mega watt smiles one after the other and giggled her head off for a good 15mins - first time so im sooooooooo happy and proud of her i was telling ned all about it when i was bathing him and askied if he was going to give me smiles too - and he did no piccies though of him as we were all wet - but cant wipe the smile off my face today - my kids rock!!!!

Shy - you've got lots happening in your life right now, and the cold wouldn't be helping with your ailments either. I know swimming is best for backs, but my DH has had great help from swiss ball exercises (usually combined with swimming) to help with back pain. I assume you have seen a physio for your pain? If not and you want to see one who can also show you the ball exercises, let me know and i can PM you his number. He works from North Adelaide if that is good for you, and specialises in back pain. Surely ball exercises would be better than nothing??
Not sure exactly what is going on with your niece, but it always sounds pretty bad, so I hope things can get as good as they can for her and for you and your family. It's never nice seeing someone you love suffer. Please don't feel you need to fill me in either. xx
Take care though. You have every right to be feeling down in the dumps, and to top it all off you are sleep deprived too. Biggest hugs to you.

BTW - thanks for asking. Seems we have lost the colds (well S and I anyway). I was a bit hesitant to say it, as I would be good one day, then down for the count the next. Our weekend was miserable - all of us were sick. Now DH has caught our cough and looks like he will be getting the fever and aches with it too. Hopefully he can fight it off with the arsenal of drugs I'm not allowed to take being pregnant! Spencer is coming leaps and bounds. He is starting to almost say words, well, we seem to get get what he's saying anyway, and he's starting to feed himself pretty well with a spoon/fork. He's also into everything he's not meant to be into. He is climbing up onto his highchair, and then struggling to get down, and is into almost every cupboard in the house. The pantry is constantly being rearranged and DH found a wooden block in his undies drawer today! Life is interesting!

Thanks so much for all your comments, means alot that I can vent to you girls!

LM, thanks for the offer, we have a BB near us at Melrose Park, so will check that out, we've tried almost every bottle, the last couple days he's been slightly interested in the sippee cup, so we might have a breakthrough there! How did your ganglion get fixed, I assume you didn't hit it with a bible (!) but rather had it aspirated or day surgery?

Liv, thanks for the offer, I may just take you up on that and organise a catch up!

Waiting, ouch, it's agonising hey! I have tried chiro, but due to the old fracture, they can't do much. The last resort will be surgery, but I'm not too keen on that. I think pilates, swimming etc will be best. I haven't found physio much help either although the massage is nice!

MG, will PM you re the details of your hubby's physio. It's a fair drive, but I am willing to give it a go!

Kiwi, thanks for the info. Will check it out. Tonight we will leave the ducted on, and see if it seaps into our room enough to make him comfortable.

Also going to try grobags when they arrive!

Question - how do you know for sure if a bub is teething? I can't see any lumps or bumps in his gums, his cheeks are on/off red, and he's been dribbling and hands in mouth since 12 weeks old!

    I'm sorry I haven't read everything again
Waiting nice work on the placement you were after

AFM Placenta has moved and is way up near the top of my belly. Bubs is perfect size for 33 weeks they didn't give me any pics though.
My babyshower went really well on the weekend, it was a great day and my girlfriends who arranged it all did a wonderful job.
Anti-natal class this weekend, it feels like there is never a free moment of late....Only 2.5 weeks left at work (not that I'm counting)

Babies generally do have their hands in their mouth from a young age simply because they have just discovered them!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesnt always mean they are teething. Same with dribbling too, babies dribble because they havent yet figured out they can swallow saliva. So it can be tricky trying to figure out if they are teething or not!!!

For us I find A goes off her food, wont let me go anywhere near her mouth, chewing anything she can get her hands on, bad sleep, a bit of nappy rash, usually a cold to go with it and is generally a bit feral. A doesnt seem to really get the red cheeks so I cant use that as an indicator.

Country - great to hear the placenta has moved and you had a lovely baby shower! Wow getting closer for you!!

Waiting - great news on the placement.

Shy - So sorry you're not feeling great and watching someone else suffer is really horrible. You're having a tough time you poor thing. I'm reasonably close to that baby buntings too so let me know if you want me to pick up anything and drop it off to you. Actually I have to go there soon to pick up my new pram.

MG - good to hear you and S are feeling better. Too bad DH is sick now. I don't know how my DH avoided this cold that E and I have. I think you asked recently if I had 6 weeks to go? Well I think I have about 7 or 8 left now. They'll give me a date at my 36 week appointment. I'm 31 weeks this week. Think you also asked somewhere if it's easier now DH is working out of home and yes! It is! Good for him to get out of the house more and it does give me a bit more time to myself. Although not much as E is pretty much wanting a play-companion all day long these days.

Kiwi - we've just been looking at those heaters. Do they warm up the room enough? And are they hot to touch? I think we're going to put one in E's room.

AFU im feeling a bit better but still it's so sore to swallow at night. I guess being pregnant doesn't help with getting rid of colds.
