Livvy - i feel the same way sometimes - i was actually having lunch with liv when i got the call i was pregnant - i had a feeling it was twins and almoat had a stroke at the thought of 2 - i told liv flat out 'what the f have i done???" but wouldnt change it for anything. Sometimes i get the guilts too that i complain when so many wonderful people are yet to get their babes, but just cause you have a whinge every now and agin doesnt mean you deserve your babes any less. We have the mountain buggy duo but only got it as max still sits in the pram sometimes and he weighs 18kg and the duo has the biggest weight limit per seat. if i were you i would look in to the baby jogger range - nearly everyone in my twin mum group have the bj city mini and they are fantastic!!!!

lisa - man its tough when the dh's are away - hope you get some time to yourself today xxx

well have just wrapped all maxi's pressies and dad is coming tmrw to help brett put the swing set of all swing sets together so no doubt my weekend will consist of either pushing a swing or hurling max down the slippery dip!!!! cant believe this time next week my big boy will be 2!!!!party time we are also taking him out to tea tmrw night twin free, none of us have been out since the twinnies came home so just the three of us and we are really looking forward to it. going to the marryatville so max can have a play too

Sorry Lisa, must have posted at the same time. It's hard when DHs go away. I find I'm more organised with the kids, but I hate hoping into bed on my own and waking up alone sucks too.
Dust! Don't get me started, I dusted and polished on Wed and it already looks like it has't been done in a week!
DH doesn't go back to work until the 20th June!!!

Are we still meeting up for a walk and coffee next Tues?

LM - Yah for going out with the girls!!! Tonight is my 1st girls night out this year!!!!!! So I'll be keen to have another. TBH I felt a bit better knowing I wasn't the only one struggling. Have a fun night tonight!

Livvy - I gained 30kg with P. But it came off with out too much of a struggle. J I only gained 7kg, and it was gone in a few weeks. S I gained about 20kg! And I still have 6kg to go. The other 14kg came off in the 1st 3-4mths. I need to pull finger and loose these last few kg, but tbh can't be bothered. So naughty! Sounds like you have a very healthy lifestyle so you should be fine, I on the other hand indulge in too much naughty stuff.

Hi ladies, I must apologized that I haven't had much time & also feeling pretty trashed so only skimmed read through quickly. I have a feeling I may not have much time to get on here as much for a while so just incase this turns out to be the case I wanted to let you all know instead of just disappearing. I have a number of you on f/bk but would dearly like to add the ones I don't who have f/bk & wouldn't mind adding me. If you would like to the other girls who already have you on there page can let you know who I am. Please just send me a pm through f/bk just so I know who I'm adding. (just so I'm accepting on the right person) I find it's quick to go through f/bk, ESP whilst feeding but ATM that's as far as it gets. Please keep me filled in & let me know if you have any catchups coming up. Would love to go & catchup with those I know & meet those I chat to but haven't met in person yet!

Winzy......I'd love to hear your birth story. I do hope it wasn't too painful etc. I really can't believe how that m/wive spoke to you, Absolutly disgusting! I find the best thing also to do when you find your getting told different things from different people is to just take it all in & pick the bits that you think will work for you, DH & Owen. He is one gorgeous baby, still can't believe only 22 hours apart.

AFM.....thanks to you all for your kind words of support. In some ways I'm coping very well but others not really. Thanks to those who reccomended I get councilling. It's nice to know others think it's a good idea etc. I'd pretty much already had deceided too & whilst in hospital I had both the social worker & one of the "mental health m/wives" see me. Not going to bother seeing the s/worker again as didn't help much but I found speaking to the m/wive from mental health very suitable with all that has happened. The fact there trained in mental health but also middies says it all. I deceided even if I don't feel like it in a couple of weeks I will make regular appts as I really want to be proactive & prevent myself from getting post/Nat/dep & or post traumatic stress in the future. I'm having awful flashes still that I wish would just go away. Even last night when Greys anatomy was on I was fine one minute then all of a sudden there was a trauma & lots of Drs working on the patient & I got all scared & freaked out & started seeing the flashes from the last part of labour.
I'm also so glad to be home as the specialist who is to blame for what happened who I saw for a prenatal visit has been constantly visiting me in hospital & keeps telling me I must "move on" that I do know which is why I'm getting councilled but he seriously must think im a fool knowing the only reason he really wants me to forget is so we don't take it further. Even one of the m/wives told me they were getting sick of him "hanging around" the ward hmmm!!
Anyway, I/we as a family will get through it. We have our baby girl & that's all that matters now. With time the horrible stuff will fade away, just too fresh ATM. She's a real little cutie & now that the swelling has gone down although shes 10pound + she doesn't really seem it. Shed in-between 0000-000 but having a brocken arm does make dressing a tad tricky because of the splint but no real drama. She seems to be a much harder baby then E but for all that she's gone through I can understand. Doesn't like to be put down at all & even when DH took her for a walk to calm her down she screamed the while walk. Today she seems to just want to feed all day. I guess until the transition from colustrum to milk which takes round 14 days I guess it's quite common to be like that.
Well, going to have a quick rest as she's finally having a sleep!! Yawn from mummy & night

Wow so many updates since the other day.

I will admit I have only briefly skimmed the surface, sorry ladies.

Digby good to hear you are home now, I'm glad you have been able to find someone to talk to about everything that has happened and I hope it continues to help you. I hope Zahli's broken arm heals quickly.

Winzy good to hear you too are home and going well. I too look forward to hearing your birth story

Lisa could you please pm me your number so you can update everyone for me, still got plenty of time to go yet.

Livvy I too went through the OMG what have I done after getting pregnant and we are only expecting 1, I guess that comes with the whole process of IVF and its quite daunting when it actually works but I wouldn't change it for the world

To everyone I've missed, I know there a few with sick little ones I hope they all get better soon and you get some full nights sleep.

AFM Saw the OB and I get to see bub again next week, we're having another ultrasound, mostly to check the ribs and make sure the gall bladder isn't playing up. He suspects that it is just someone kicking the c&^p out of me. He did a quick scan there and it looks like my placenta is up around my ribs as well but we'll know for sure Tuesday.
I hope everyone has a great long weekend, I know I will with my baby shower on Sunday, and friends flying in from interstate so can't wait

Digby - OMG you have every reason to be feeling up and down constantly. You poor thing I'm glad to hear Zahli is going well, and as for the fact she is harder, well I guess every bub different and with her start to the outside world, she just wants mummy and daddy around her all the time. Understandable. What pain relief is she on - just panadol? I'm glad to hear you are getting some counselling. It will help. I find social workers (no offence anyone) to be pretty useless! I saw one in TH and I didn't go back as I figured I get better advice on here and from friends/family!! I look forward to meeting Zahli one of these days. How long will she be in a sling for? Love seeing her photos on FB, she is a real cutie. Take care of yourself, try and rest when she does, and yell out if you need a catch up xx

MG, I'm sure you're doing a magnificent job. Dont' stress, the house will be there at the end of this down period and i'm sure its not that bad, hugs

Country, good luck with your appt, I hope it's not your gall bladder, just bubs making themself felt!

Livvy, congratulations and welcome. Wow, 2 bubbas how exciting! Do you have any other twins in the family? Did you have 2 embies put back or just one that split?

Maybe, I was an over analyser too! I think some of us are just made that way! It won't stop til bubs arrives, and even then....I still do!!! I only had a bit of nausea, never threw up, but the more nauseous I felt the better mentally but worse physically!

Liv, was good to see you on Tuesday. I hope Cooper is going ok, and the teething monster passes quickly!

MA, good to see you Tuesday also, Charlie is sooo cute!

LM, hope the twinnies are going well. GL with MAx's birthday celebrations.

Lady, good luck dealing with things on your own for a bit.

Kiwi, hi there! Hope you are well.

Waiting, bugger about A being sick. I hope it passes soon.

Winzy, hope to read birth story soon! Hope Owen is going well.

AFM, well sleeping hasn't got any better with DS. I rang PHL the other night, and they said he shouldn't be waking every 2-3 hours, so suggested I resettle. So the last 2 nights I've been rocking when he wakes. Night 1 was ok, just a couple times and back to sleep, last night took a bit more effort. I'm hoping that it won't take much longer for him to resettle. Am planning on trying grobags during the day when they arrive next week.

Oh yeah, Bambini Pronto having 50% off sale on grobags just for a few days!

Anyway, currently wrapping him during the day with one arm out. He wakes a bit more often, but I just resettle, I figure he needs to get used to it. He is rolling a bit more now, so I feel better knowing he has an arm out, and during the night I just wrap him tightly and put the 'seatbelt' over, so he can't roll!

I have started solids, he HATES rice cereal and BM but yesterday ate all his puree'd pear and rice cereal. HATES pumpkin too! But we will persist as he can't live on pear!

Question - the sale Target are having now, is that THE mid year toy sale or is there another big one to come? I want to layby DS' Christmas/birthday pressies, but don't want to do it in the wrong sale!

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far.

Shy - none of the toy sakes have started yet - you will know when they do cause the catalogues are like bluddy novels they are so thick - think its the end of june or july??? biut they def havent started yet.

My dad came over this morn and helped brett put the swing set together - Max is one chuffed little cookie with his swings, slide and see saw - had him all rugged up in beanies etc so he could go outside and play - now to assemble the rollercoaster car thingy and cubby and we're all set with our own little toddler heaven!!!!

None taken (Im a social worker ) Social workers have their place, and it really depends who you get, their knowledge and experience. Counselling Vs "Advice" - very different. Counselling to debrief from trauma/incident can be very different from social worker support/advice. But yes I agree theres some pretty cr@p social workers out there. Myself though, Im just fantastic

Target sale - not sure which one you are talking about, I just looked on their website and there's no reference to the toy sale yet. TRUST me you wont miss it, Target will usually create major fanfare and countdown for weeks before hand, A was OBSESSED with the Target Toysale adverts on TV last year!!!

MG - Sounds like you're having a rough trot. Mate I dunno how you preggo ladies (and LM had her babies) with a toddler do it, Im under the pump with just A!!!! Hope you feel better soon

Kiwi - Did you have a few drinks for me? Hungover I presume??!!!

LM - Sing out if you need a hand, once A is better Im fairly available and we can let A and Max entertain each other

Gahhhh Little Miss A just woke up BBL
