Welcome and congratulations Maybebaby. Wow can't beleive your at 12 weeks already that's certainly crept up quick. Enjoy announcing your news this weekend.

Congratulations Waiting on your completion of your prac. Sounds like your going to be an excellent teacher and have no problems getting work. I hope A gets better soon, teething is never fun.

Kiwi..... sorry to hear P is not well and having troubles with J at school. I honestly think things are so much easier when our kids are younger IYKWIM. (except for the sleep deprivation I guess) E was in tears last night, had sooooo much homework to do and was so tired. It was only 7pm and all she wanted to do was go to bed. She's just finding school a bit draining atm even though she still goes to bed at 8pm on school nights at the age of 12. (she just doesn't let her friends know lol)

Lulusmum......good to hear the painkillers are kicking in. Sorry to hear Ned has reflux. Fingercrossed he grows out of it soon if possible.

Lady......great to hear C is on the mend. Hope he doesn't catch anymore nasty bugs at CC. I know when E used to go she used to catch everything but as a kid (except for this year) she hardly gets sick. Usually has a VERY good imune system.

Oh noo I just wrote a whole lot of personals and lost them cos I'm on my new iPad and pressed the wrong button, doh!! Oh well here goes again....

Maybe - welcome and congrats on 12 wks, I bet you can't wait to tell everyone. It's lovely to see u again, it feels like only yesterday u were announcing your bfp in our ivf thread. I was hoping I'd run into u again so I could see how you're going and share my news with you... If u haven't already read, I'm pregnant with twins, 8 weeks today look forward to chatting with u here!!!

Waitinghoping - well done on finishing ur prac, very exciting, but I can see how u would miss it. Sorry to here your youngen is sick too sounds like u must be in desperate need of a good nights sleep!

moon gazer - ohh your post about your friend being bigger than LM but with a singleton makes me feel a bit better, lol, maybe I won't necessarily be as big as a house! I'm quite petite so being totally giant scares me a bit, hehe. But you're right everyone is different, and if I do end up looking like I have two watermelons under my shirt than so be it

LM - oh see im already learning a lot from u of course everyone will have diff experiences whether one or two babies, but its nice to have someone here who has been thru something similar to bounce ideas off. I am so new to this pregnancy thing that it's all very daunting. I've actually already chosen my OB and have my first appt with him on June 17. Lucky for me he is a family friend of DH's and he is supposed t be brilliant. My FS even told me that my OB is one of the few who will consider vaginal birth for twins if it's possible, and I'm happy about that. Of course n the end i will do whatever is best for the babies but I'd like to have the option of a vaginal birth if I can. That's reassuring to me that u only were really showing at 12 wks with them, and that was your second pregnancy, I freaked myself out by googling images of ppl preg with twins and some looked huge at what seemed very early and I was thinking how on earth will I be able to keep this a secret at work til 12 wks if I pop out so early? I guess it could still happen though, u never know what your body will do, I'll just have to deal with it when the time comes I really hope at 20 wks I feel great like u did. We are off to Hawaii at 19 wks for me and return when I'll be just over 20, I was wondering if I'd already be completely over it all by then but hopefully it'll be the perfect time to travel. Didn't know that about finishing work at 24 wks so that's interesting! That'll be around late sept early oct for me, earlier tha. I imagined finishing, not that I'm complaining.. I'll take doctors orders on that one! Sounds like your birth was full on, I guess that proves u need to expect the unexpected, I'll need to have it in my mind that it might not go the way I plan.. Lol but I suppose that's the same with any birth really, single or double. I'm a very organized person and love a goOd routine/schedule so hopefully, that will hold me in good stead for the twinnies

Digby- you're so right DH and I keep saying 'we don't know any different, we have never had ONE baby' hehe so this twin thing will be all we know. We only plan to have 2, so all going well this will be it for us, all in the one hit. No more ivf, that's a definite up side good luck getting your show on the road hope we hear some news very soon!!

Kiwi - thanks for the welcome glad to hear your comfy sending Sam to occasional care, you need peace if mind when you do these things I imagine!

Hi ladies.....sorry just a quick me update then off to bed for some rest. Well, at 3.45am this morning I started getting contractions and then a bloody show half an hour later. I couldn't sleep after that so I thought I may as well have a shower, wash my hair and straighten it. So there I was at 4.30 in the morning watching video hits and straightening my hair. We ended up going to the assesment unit around 8.30. Contractions were strong and regular. After being monitored for an hour I was admitted to the labour ward and we thought it was going to be "all systems go" To cut a long story short the contractions are doing what they should but unfortunatly I'm still only 2cm dilated. They think it's going to be a long labour as far as the dilating goes as baby is so big so after 4 hours I was discharged. I /we did ask if I could be induced to help things along and save us coming back tomorrow as I'm being induced then anyway but they have 3 very sick ladies in labour and said it would be a risk if they were to induce me incase anything was to go wrong as there would be no Dr to see me. I just hope things will be different when don go back tomorrow so they don't turn around and say there "too busy" to risk induction. There is still a chance I'll be back before tomorrow for the real thing so going to go get some shut eye while I can. Bubs is trying hard but with her size is slowing things right down, but at least I've had a proper show now so one way or another won't be too much longer.

Winzy...... I wander how your going??? My guess is you went to hospy in the early hours of this morning and maybe cuddling your baby as I speak. I hope so anyway. Can't wait to here your news xxx

ok, off to rest now xx

    Hi Girls...

Just wanted to pop my head in say hello, welcome and congratulations on your BFP's, MaybeBaby and Livvyloo!!!

Also.....all the best Digby and Winzy, I am so looking forward to hearing your news!! How exciting!!!!!

Digby - Your start to labour sounds exactly like mine - mine was slow, however, as soon as you can not stand the contractions at home, go straight to the hospital, because as soon as I got there, I dilated very fast, it was the last 2 cms that took it's sweet time!!!

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well
