Kiwi - You conformist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to FB land, the biggest waste of time known to mankind Yay for finally getting the painting done too!

Lisa - Good luck with Cs swimming lesson today!! Im sure he will love it! Would love to go walking but I have so much on this weekend (and next) so might be a while yet Hope you are doing ok

Liv - I really hope you get a 2nd miracle coming your way soon

Well Im now 2 weeks down for prac, 3 to go YAY!! Loving it though, the girls are great (its a girls school). Had a uni supervisor come out this week (one week earlier than everyone elses assessment lucky me!! ) but she passed me with flying colours, school have said there's no concerns at all so Im pretty happy! Ive even been taking some relief lessons that usually would have been cancelled (pracs in Home Ec - cooking and sewing - have to be cancelled if there isnt a trained Home Ec teacher there due to OHS) but they have said they feel totally confident in my ability so Ive been running pracs anyway and one of them was the one the Uni saw and they were happy. They have even said they might use me for paid relief work in Term 4 so pracs dont have to be cancelled then, once my registration is through. Stoked!!

Right better go do a uni essay.... Im a bit excited looking at my work load this MIGHT be my last one!!!

Kiwi: ha ha welcome to fb I will pm u my name how exciting your bubby is taking steps
Afm: well the nursery is pretty much all done we just gotta put up the stickers and might put some curtains over the blinds and it's all done I will put some pics on fb soon. The weird dreams are continuing and I am waking up at 5 for a couple of hours then crashing out again till 10 ish most days. Still havent decided on names eek! Dh and I went to Russells pizza bar in willunga last night forgot how bl$&dy good it is there if u have never been there u must make the trip down but make sure u book early and byo wine and beer - u can even bring an esky no corkage and its all u can eat pizza, starters and dessert for $37 rustic ambience like going to a hippy cottage for wood oven pizza and open fire place and sometime salsa dancing. Fun!

Winzy - I thought we were bad with not deciding on names yet. Have you got a bit of a list? We have zero on our list at the moment and Im starting to worry a bit. I've been meaning to go to Russells. I have friends who rave about it. Actually we have friends from o/s staying jul/aug so I might take them then.

Waiting - sounds like you're doing amazingly and are a natural at teaching.

Liv - Mini C sounds like lots of fun at the moment. Good to hear you're jumping back on the train again.

MG - hope you're loving it up north and that the weather is fantastic.

Kiwi - We're good. Thanks for asking about us. E says about once a day that her ear is sore. I'm not sure what to do. The Dr gave us a prescription for antibiotics but said she'll really let us know (by screaming/crying) when she needs them. She hasn't shown any other signs than just telling us and she's her usual happy/bossy/determined self. Does she need the antibiotics...I'm not sure? Anyone??

Digby - I agree with Lisa regarding the c-section. If you're concerned about the birth talk to your Dr

LM - hope you're ok and getting some sleep. Let me know if you need anything.

We're good. Since taking the iron tablets I don't feel as exhausted as I did. I have my GD test on Tuesday. We have friends coming over for dinner and I've got a curry on the stove...smells good. Have a good weekend everyone.

Lady & Rach......I made it clear to the specialist I would prefer a sect as placenta is still low (although not covering) & I explained my fear after heomarraging with E. He was not that understanding but did do a quick scan of placenta to prove I don't need a sect so I guess I have to have the confidence he does have my best interest at heart. I was a little annoyed when he did the scan as he didn't let me see the screen & didn't even let me have even a quick 5 sec look at our baby. Not sure if that's normal behavior or just poor bed side manners on his behalf. With any luck I will have a different specialist again on the 23rd & if so I'll chat about things all over again.

Waiting........sounds like your going really well with your prac & welldone on the possibility of getting paid work there soon.

Winzy......choosing a name can be hard eneough but then finding one you both agree on can make it even tougher. We were certain we were having a boy & called bubs "Ben" from day dot. Well we DEFINATLY weren't going to change babies name to Benita when we found out he was actually a she lol!! Took us a good 6 weeks after that to come up with what we think is the perfect name for her. (can't wait to be able to finally announce what it is) The only people we've told is my mum as I had to tell someone to get it out my system lol!! And of course E knows. Shes been very good not telling anyone & believe me her friends at school have been trying lol!! I think it must be harder deciding on a name when you don't know the sex but then again it's hard anyway sometimes. I'm sure you guys will come up with a perfect name. Even if you have a list of (maybe names) & once bubs is born you will know straight away if any are suitable & if not take your time until you deceide, there's plenty of bubs that don't have a name for a day or so. Can't wait to see pictures on f/bk of the nusery. We've pretty much completed except have to hang the pictures & put the stickers on the wall. Not in any hurry though, even if it's done after won't matter. Today's day 1 of 5 teas a day now. I wander if it may help soften cervix? Can only hope.

Ok ladies.....I'm gonna get the bets started on what Winzy's having?!?

My guess is a boy!!! Wander what everyone else will guess??

Rachinsyd: Well we arent starting from absolute scratch we have lots of possibilities just can't decide good luck for your gd test on Tuesday and glad to hear that your u r feeling better on the iron
Digby: I have been trying to drink 5 teas a day but keep forgetting hopefully it's doing something... The names are so hard I have heaps that I like but then I can't help but associate them with kids I've taught before or dh doesn't like them... I think u r right about creating a list of possibles and then choosing when bubby comes. Sounds like your nursery is all ready to go so u reckon boy huh?
Wh: im sorry to hear that af is so painful I hope that there is something u can do without having to go on contraception again... but hey I had to go on the pill for a couple months to get rid of a cyst and that was just before we started our successful cycle so maybe the pills not all that bad for ttc... And pink hey? We shall see...

    Morning,

Digby - Some of the specialists I saw had shocking bedside manners too. I'm sure if you do have a VB, the middies and OB will be aware of potential heomarraging (sp) and be on to the problem quick smart. Try not to worry. E is doing well keeping the name a secret, my kids nearly exploded! Lucky for them we only decided on a name a few weeks before he was born.

Winzy - Pink, pink, pink! We have always struggled to name our kids. Sam was the hardest because P & J had their opinions too and as we where trying to include them in the whole process we respected their views on names. I got out voted! I wanted his name to be Tate Samuel (family names), then Samuel Tate. But no, it's Sam Tate. I can live with that.

Waiting - Ouch!!!! My AF is getting lighter and lighter, less pain.............. Mum went into menopause at 42, so who knows what's going on there. Maybe just a few months on the pill will help settle things. Do you have endo???? PCOS??? Hope it's just a one off. Sounds like you've got this teaching thing sorted. We must catch up, when you've finished.

Rach - Hmm, Emi's ear................. I think I'd leave it until she shows other symptoms and then get onto it quick smart. Mine don't always scream in pain, why wait until an ears that bad? Sorry, I wasn't much help was I?

Must go S is cracking it.

    Morning All!

Digby....cant wait to hear the name you've chosen! Well done to E on keeping it secret!! Man, damn doctors and their horrible bedside manner! we are the patients for goodness sake and we are the ones pushing a watermelon out of a teeny tiny hole and have done it before and know what happened......so.......yeah....i think our opinion counts more than yours! grrr to doctors! but, yes, all the necessary medical staff will be around you so if anything were to happen i'm sure you will be well looked after. it's just not nice when you feel your opinion doesn't count. but, if you're happy to try for VB then goodluck but more than anything i want you to feel comfortable with what you go with and i hope it's more your choice than them forcing it on you for their own reasons!

Rach.....poor little E! It's great she's able to communicate when she's feeling pain! hope she doesn't get too many ear pains!

Waiting....damn AF! why does she have to be so mean?! mine is just plain annoying........she had to come while we were in sydney in Feb and now she had to come when we went to syd for the funeral last week! she must like to make sure she doesn't miss out on the syd trips i guess! . I hope that you dont continue in too much pain and that you can get the contraception stuff sorted! Awesome work tho on your prac! you're a star! go to the top of the class!.....hang on.....you are!

Kiwi......sounds like you had fun with choosing sams name! at least you got both the family names in and that neither of them were ruled out!

Winzy....choosing names is fun! especially when you dont know the sex either.....then it's double the fun! We found it much harder choosing a boys name - even tho we love the name charlie. as for our girls name, well that will always be set. there's only ever been one name i've wanted to name our daughter - i just hope we get to use it! . Altho, i doubt it cos Davids mum saw a psychic once who said that we will have 3 boys and davids bro and his wife will have 3 girls. Well so far we have 1 boy and they have 2 girls plus another girl on the way!

Right, need some advice please. We started the SOS routines a few days ago and have managed to get the feed times mainly consistent which is a great help but pre-SOS C was sleeping 3-4 hours per day. Now he's having 2 maybe 3 x 45 minute naps which is driving us batty! maybe it's cos we're not wrapping his arms anymore, who knows. he sleeps well overnight with no arms wrapped but for daysleeps he just wont go past the first sleep cycle! he flat out refuses to sleep at the recommended sleep times so we're letting him tell us when he's tired (as long as it's between the feed times). This morning we tried wrapping his arms again to see if it makes the difference and it did, he went to sleep, but i dont want him going backwards in the wrapping so as soon as he was asleep we took his arms out the wrap. what to do.....what to do........his napping just driving us nuts!
The 7pm bedtime is working nicely. the first 2 nights we did the 10pm dreamfeed he then woke again at 3am so lastnight we decided to go without the dreamfeed and see how far we got. we went from 7pm-2am then 2.30am-7am.
Oh dear....C just woke again from only a 'nap'! so just put his arms back in wrap, dummy back in and see how we go......but i dont think we're in luck! no fair!! . I think this sleep was half hour!
