Wannab.....that's good your going as a private patient. Ideally that's what I wanted to do go private in a public hospital just so I could've had my own specialist. I wish you all the best on your pregnancy journey xx

Well I think I jinxed myself (in a good way) last night. Zahli ended up going to sleep at 11.45pm and slept until 5.30am you beauty!!!!! Maybe it's a good thing she went to sleep that bit later as she may have otherwise woken much earlier and on the off chance been hard to settle back to sleep. At least at 5.30am it's not ridiculously early if she doesn't go back to sleep for an hour or so.
One quick question & I promise it will be quick this time lol....
I purchased Z a swaddle from babies r us as there on sale ATM. I'm wandering whether it's the swaddle what was making it hard for her to stay asleep last night as whenever we wrap her in a Muslim wrap she always has her arms out by the time she wakes. Who else uses swaddles and what do you think? I'd like to buy a couple more but don't want to if that was the problem last night (mind you Zahli usually takes ages to finally stay asleep at night anyway) There such a good price ATM should I go back and purchase a couple more and persist with it or go back to wrapping her normally and let her wake with her arms eventually out?

Well after a rocky evening, my little man was finally asleep by 9, woke at 4 for a quick feed then back to sleep til 7.10!!!! Yay I feel refreshed

Digby, personally I love swaddles though I just use a big cotton 2mpiece of fabric. I found when DS gets his arms out that's when he wakes so I swaddle with arms down by his side!

Hi all my old IVF buddies

We just celebrated the first birthday of our little IVF miracle, Erin. She was surrounded by around 50 friends and family. She had a huge day and got through it without a nap. She was way to excited anyway to snooze. We spent this morning unwrapping all the wonderful gifts she received from all her awesome family and friends. What a day!

It's been nice reading through some of the posts here. Lots of new people I'm lookiing forward to following their writtings (posts) and pulling my finger out and re-engaging with all my old friends from those hard days of being in the IVF pages.

    Love to all

    Paul

Hi Paul, congratulations on Erins first birthday! I bet it was a wonderful day, and she would have been tuckered out by the end of it!

Digby, I hope sleep school goes well for you today

I don't wish to jinx myself, but DS has had two good nights! Last night was the best by far, 8pm in bed, didn't stir til 5.30 for a quick feed, then back by 6 and slept til 8! So wonderful to wake up with the sun shining thru into the room, instead of darkness! Touch wood it continues. After 7.5 months of barely any long stretches of sleep, I think I deserve it!!!

Digbyleigh-Thanks for the advice re Dr Bof . I have booked in with her (early at 7 weeks) otherwise would be 12-13 weeks before getting back to adelaide again.

My hcg result came back today at 118 which the clinic said is low but the websites show that on the higher end of the normal range for day 14DPO. I thiunk they forgot that it is day 14 as they normally test at day 16 but this was an overseas donor cycle so went by their protocol.

    Evening!

Paul - Happy Birthday to Erin! Great to hear she had a lovely day

MG - ooooohh sooo jealous! I would LOVE to be overseas (and in some warmer weather!) right about now! Hope you are all travelling well

wannabb - I had Dr Bof for just a couple of appts she was lovely, very professional. I had a scare at 24 weeks and saw her that day, she was very thorough, lots of checks and scans and hospitalised me overnight for further monitoring just in case. I felt very safe in her care

AFM - i was supposed to head back to Adelaide tomorrow but Im sick waaaahhhh!!!! DH and A have shared their germs, had hoped Id avoided that by leaving them both at home but it seems I didnt Got school all day tomorrow, was going to head back tomorrow night but Ill get an early night and head back Wed. Hoping Im well enough to go to school tomorrow (have to be careful cos of food handling / hygiene issues) if Im not well enough it will mean yet another day here and I cant get back till Thurs... fingers crossed thats not the case!!! Spoke to DH tonight, apparently he and A are doing well, had a chat with A on the phone and I asked her what she got up to today.... her reply..... "Did poos". Thanks for that info

Hope everyone is well (well at least healthier than me at the moment!!!)

    Hi all,

Sam and I have a cold, so not feeling the greatest. Paige still not 100%, waiting for more results. Joshua turns 9 this Sun! He's having a friend for a sleepover and going bowling. Thankfully a very minor cold so should be fine for that. Still have relatives from NZ around and need to make a move on painting J's room - last one, yah!!! Sam has started to climb everything! I haven't had a climber before, over it already. Just waiting for him to realise he can climb onto the kitchen bench, not looking forward to that. I need a holiday, hurry up October!

    Hope everyone is well.
