mashedveg first for your folli and lining!! it is always so comforting to see that!!! second, there is nothing you have done or not done. There is so much speculation on what causes hormone imbalance, but PCOS and PCO does not discriminate, cudly, thin, race, creed, religion, short tall anyone can have it.....Don't beat yourself up hun some things just are...there is no answers (well maybe one day there will be lol) but if you can accept it's just there and not worry about the why you will look to your tomorrows!!!
have fun on holidays and have fun catching that eggy!! xoxo

Nando I kinda monitor my own cycle, but I know how it works lol....starting from the beginning.. Cd3 is a BT for your LH and FSH....your LH should be lower than your FSH as your FSH is the hormone that grows your eggys...one sign of hormone imbalance is high LH in the CD3 test.
CD11ish is usually your first scan...by that day you should have at least one (with a medicated cycle) dominant folli growing nicely and a lining over 5mm at the very least...some doctors will do estrogen BT every second day from then to see the levels build and try to catch the LH surge as well. if the folli is growing well your doctor would probably just give you the cd21 (should be 7dpo though so if you O late wait 7 days past that) progesterone levels test to see if you ovulated...if your folli is on the small side or you have too many follies they may monitor you every day with a scan to check for the perfect size!!! and if you have 7 days after that is a HCG test!!!
man In my next life I am gunna be a FS lol!!!! hope I didnt overwhelm you if I did please ask me any questions u need lol!!!
and good luck!! and remember to breath......getting you ovulating is the first step, once that recipe works...FX your journey on clomid won't be a long one!! ohh and welcome lol!! xoxo

    Funky Mummy - Thank you!

I don't want all this I don't think I can be as strong as a lot of other ladies who go through multiple treatments

Purpletulip - Thanks for directing me to your chart. Your most recent chart looks just like mine so far (all of 8 or so days haha).

Hi, Nando! I'm on my first cycle of monitored Clomid too. My OB wants to scan me on CD12 to see if there is any follies. He hasn't told me what will happen if there aren't, but I guess I'll find that out on Monday.

Yay, mashedveg!!! That's such great news! I don't think you can pinpoint what causes PCO - I was ovulating normally after I had my son (28 day cycles, EWCM etc), then all of a sudden it stopped and I'm now 3 months without a cycle. I'm carrying a little extra weight that I haven't bothered to shift post baby (he's not even 9 months old!), but I had PCO before concieving him and I was a size 8 then. So, for me it's not part of the syndrome. I did read somewhere a theory that female fetus' can be affected by chemicals the mother ingests whilst pregnant which can cause PCOS. Who knows.

    I have a question ladies!
When you have an injection to trigger O, who administers it? Do you do it yourself? What type of injection is it ie, subcut, intramuscular?
I am kicking myself that I didn't take that option this month because I am pretty sure that my whole problem ttc is because I don't get a strong LH surge. I produce a dominant folli each cycle but I don't release it, and that's made my ovaries appear polycycstic without me actually having PCOS.
Does taking clomid alone improve your LH surge?

I always think of these questions AFTER I have seen my doctor!

TIA and sorry for me me me.

mashedveg I jab myself in the arm its a muscular injection and my only issue is opening the stupid vials lol!!! clomid in my first 2 cycles did help my LH and I ovulated but then the following 2 cycles on the same dose I didn't so my FS upped my dose and gave me pregnyl!! It isn't too late hunny. The first month I called my FS and he faxed a prescription to my GP for me to grab!! so give them a call and explain at the least hunny!!! good luck xoxo

Dell hi hun!! good luck if you get to try the trigger!! xoxo

Nando hunny take a deep breath hunny, yep it sux needing medication for your body to work......but the end result is so so so worth it. you have all the support in the world and really once your FS gets you ovulating...technically it should just be a matter of time, technically of course!!

I'll leave you with one of my fave quotes

never give up on the thing you cannot go a day without thinking of <3 <3 <3

oh no.....I just typed the most massive post(so long it logged me out) and Abby just reached over and pressed the back button on the mouse.......argh......

will try again just shorter this time.....

Sorry to see so many new ladies in here. Love the chat but hate the circumstances.

Mashedveg, I inject the trigger into my thigh(yes it's daunting the first time)
Like Funky I hate opening the vials. I'm always scared of either A, cutting myself or B, spilling the lot.

Nando, the first month is the worst. what you're feeling so normal. We live with hope the first month will work and sometimes it does but if it doesn't then you get upset and cry while you have AF then by the time you start your next clomid tablet your keen to go again esp if you did O. It's generally just a matter of time. If you didn't O, you'll up your dose and you'll be keen to see whether the new dose is your miracle. Never give up on your dream of becoming a mum, there is nothing more precious....just look at my sig. They are my medically assisted miracles and can't wait for my next BFP.

Dell, good to hear from you. Make sure your FS listens to your requests.

Bubba, thinking of you. Hope you O naturally this month. Good luck with the new FS.

    Miggins, how are you travelling?

to everyone else. Don't have time to retype the rest.

AFM, waiting on blood results to confirm O. I seem to be feeling a bit off alot(esp after meals) but also know there are so many bugs going around and too early for MS. Also have a horrible taste in my mouth all the time...hahaha maybe I should wait to confirm O first before thinking of symptoms. Had a terrible birthday. Had a massive fight with my sister so now not speaking. She pretty much told me I don't do anything right and she is better than me. I don't need this kind of rubbish in my life so told her where to go. Only thing is she is the only IRL person I generally talk to about our treatment. Actually thinking about it, I didn't even tell her about last weeks scan or trigger so maybe I was already protecting myself against her onslaught. Many other issues came up that day and DD2 Charlee was on fire with really horrible behaviour. I spent the night in tears.

Oh well, the weekend is upon us and am going out for dinner with the mums from playgroup tonight.

I might try my thigh next time lol!! oh and I need a bigger needle to draw all the freaking pregnyl out lol!!!! BUT hell does it make me ovulate I say bring it lol!!!!
I hope this is your cycle hunny xoxoxo

lol funky. With DD1 I did the flick thing only managed to let go of the whole vial and smashed it on the floor!!!!!! So now it's just wrap the top in a tissue and twist. Yeah it's not pretty but does the job. I've always used the blue needles for drawing it up then swap to the orange one(hope that's deep enough!)

ok.......so of course me being a poas aholic decided the feeling ill was not a normal side effect for me so decided to test with a FRER and not FMU. There is an uber faint line there. 8DPO, reckon it's still the trigger? Not getting excited yet just can't beat the inner demon to pee on something
