    Afternoon,

Sorry been MIA. A vwery big week. It started with my little bub been admited to hospital 2 nights this week with a feeding tube inserted to re hydrate all due to severe astham/bronciliolitis. But the best part is he turned 1 friday and was home for it.

AF has come and gone since last posted last day of clomid today so we will try to DTD as much as we can even though we r still recovering from out stress full week and just down right exhausted

MightyMole: I had terrible side effects on clomid when i was on it last yr before i fell preg. I was told by my first FS that it was ALL in MY head. I changed to a different FS who said it is all side effects of clomid. So far this time round i have not been so emotional etc.

So fingers crossed for this cycle. I dont do temp test or anything so i wait and see....Thats just me i had enough of the roller coaster last yr when trying for my little boy.....

    Speak soon
    dell

awww Dell!! my little girl was in hosp with bronchiolitis at 10 weeks old, they original thought she would just need monitoring by that night she had to be on oxygen and then the next day a feeding tube and for 8 days the only time I was allowed to touch her was to move her of a bouncer to change her nappy as it exerted her so much he BP and heart rate were through the roof. Oh gosh its scarey!! BIG BIG BIG hugs to you hun I am glad your lil one is home and happy first birthday to him!!!!!

Teesh - I am in the same boat as you re: O'ing every month but not getting anywhere, but I couldn't begin to imagine how it would be like to go through this and have that painful history as well . Lets hope this is our month.

Dell - hope your little boy is feeling a lot better now. Hope clomid works it's magic for you!

Flailing - hope you have better luck this month! Are you on a higher dose?

Funky - thanks for the kind words, I will be hanging around until I get a +, even if it is via IVF! I can't see your opk for some reason but I bet you are a pro at picking out when they are positive or not by now Good luck!

Purrpletulip - My DH is ultra-positive at the moment as well, to the point where he is driving me nuts! Sometimes all I want is to talk about my worries and just get out my frustrations, but he is not the best person to do this with.

Foxxy - Hope you catch it!

AFM: Starting my last lot of clomid tonight. AF not giving me too much grief so far. I have an appt on 29 July with a new FS so looking forward to that. Have the awkward call to make to my current clinic to get my scans etc

Hi ladies! I'd like to join too - you all seem like such a supportive group (thanks bubbanails for pointing me towards this thread).

Foxxy that was a lovely poem too!

DH and I are TTC #1. we've been trying for 12mths (properly), have been together for about 6yrs, married for just over 1yr. I have PCOS & hypothyroid (only recently diagnosed, unfortunately), in my 30's. Because of these issues, decided to see FS because we don't want to leave it any longer because of our ages.

DH tests were all normal, so FS started us on our first step of drugs for me and "try" naturally. We're only on our first cycle of Provera followed by Clomid, so I'm yet to see if it works -if I O. I don't really know what it's like to O - as I don't think I have for years (spent most if my adult life on the pill and then with super long cycles with no O).

I have noticed that most ladies report being on 100mg of Clomid, but I'm only on 50mg, so am worried that it's not enough. Guess I'll wait and see what happens around day 14 and to see if AF arrives after that. Am so anxious to see if this works and see what it's like to have a "normal" cycle, FX.

    Sorry for the long intro.

    Welcome Miggins

I think it's standard practice to start on 50mg and gradually up the dose if it isn't enough (my mother needed double and triple doses for O to occur), those who are on 100mg most likely started on 50mg.

Hope your stay on this thread is short , it's a great place to vent.

Welcome miggins, generally most people will start on 25-50mg clomid and will increase the dose by 50mg icrements if no O. hope your stay is short,

funky, hope you catch your eggie, this is your best chance yet. Had to laugh about your recount of 'trying' to take the injection. I had the same thing happen to me. It's so horrific at the time.

Well CD3 for me...damn it. Just spoke to FS. Having a break this month and having a HSG in attempt to boost fertility from tubes being flushed. Will likely then add in the pregnyl injection to trigger next cycle. I'm a bit bummed about taking a break just that with the whole house sick last month and 2 of my kids having surgery in the last 10wks, DH work undergoing major changes(no risk to job) there's been a fair ammount of stress and disruption. Hope the break will help though. Get me back into the gym and lose 10kg this month is my goal.
I haven't lost my baby weight from DD3 and am 20kg heavier than falling pg last 2 times. I know it isn't helping my cause so have a personal trainer 1 day a week, water aerobics 3dys a week and trying to get into the gym 1 or 2 times.
My problem is my diet. Need a kick up the butt.
Anyone mind if I do a weekly weigh in here where we all understand the frustrations of weightloss with pcos.
Anyone wanting to join me feel free.

bubbanails, I'm on Thyroxine for hypothyroidism (also on Metformin for PCOS). Can I ask what's the baby aspirin for?
