I have steroids and anti-lupus drugs constantly, and now with the Clomid I really start to worry about interaction effects, and how that's affecting pregnancy options too!!

It sounds like you have some similar concerns - I'm right there with you! It is exceptionally frustrating when doctors don't understand what you have and how it affects you! Immune-related diseases seem to be notoriously difficult to manage and to get people to understand. I think my advice to you if you feel like you aren't getting your questions answered is to keep looking until you find a specialist who has an intimate knowledge of your condition. Life got a lot easier for me when I found my specialist - he is FANTASTIC and so honest with me. I just don't see him hugely regularly, but will be asking him tonnes more questions next time I see him about Clomid and my health condition.

You poor thing not going into remission, that really sucks! I have chronically raised inflammatory markers so my body is always fighting itself...one of the many joys. I just get so worried about a little baby developing when my body is so inflamed and attacking itself! Adds to the stress of not even being able to fall pregnant/ovulate at the moment!!
My treatment is steroids and anti-inflamatories too!

My fs is actually one of the better drs I have. He was honest and told me he wasn't sure what affect the sarcoid would have on fertility and my recurrent mc's but said he would research it for me which he did and is still doing My diagnosing specialist could care less

I'm glad to have found you that's for sure Such unique worries when you have such strange/rare conditions.... I share your fears totally! I have actually read studies that say pregnancy can have a good effect on sarcoid and cause remission. Such is my luck that I can't maintain a pregnancy thus far

But.... We will get there hopefully. And I hope your not in too much pain everyday: I sure know what thats like! Dh always jokes that I won't feel childbirth because I'm so used to pain. I wish he was right but I don't think so!!

    Fx for u!!! Xo

I CANNOT wait until sat so I can put myself out of my misery!!!!!

Hmmm my FS has never told me to fast for my day 21 bloods... Oops
I had brekky about 5 mins before my blood test so lucky the result was so high!!!
Yes, 2nd round of clomid. On my first round i had all the symptoms of early pregnancy symptoms, by after the 2nd round, i didn't have them as intense as it was the first time round (even though the first round i wasn't, and this 2nd time i was pg... go figure!).

I tested the night of my missed AF, 2x BFP's (and as they say, you should really test first thing in the morning for a stronger result, but i got the 2 lines straight away and it was night time, so thats good enough evidence for me). Just waiting for my blood test results to come back now, to trn that 99% into 100%.

Hey Goosey - I thought I was going to get the pill to bring on AF - have used Noromin in the past but this time they thought they'd put me on Primolut instead. Today was day 9 - tomorrow is the last one before hopefully AF comes over the weekend or so.

What did they prescribe for you? Which one?

Hey Chook - thanks for your comments and appreciate your perspective. I also agree she accelerated me down a scary and extreme route before really exploring all of the less invasive options. I have been TTC for nearly 5 years now and no-one has been able to give me any actual diagnosis of what is wrong and actually I've never yet received any fertility assistance. I mean the IVF meds did more harm than good and I haven't technically started Clomid yet, so I am still in limbo-land! My old GP kept refusing to refer me to a FS, saying "oh, you're only 29 - you've got at least 10 years before you should get worried about TTC" and then, "you're only 30" and then "you're only 31" which is about when I told her "see ya"...!

Hope you managed to grab some quality time with your DH tonight. Those O pains are a great sign! for you this month.

    to all!!

    Hey all....

    1) You definitely don't need to fast for the bt! Good to know!

    2) couldn't speak to my fs but the receptionist said my progesterone levels were 19.4 on day 24. Don't think thats a good level. She said I need to call the fs after he is back in to discuss next months clomid dose- somi guess this month did not work, and i guess that means no pregnancy this month what do u guys reckon about a level of 19.4??? I feel like a failed a test!!!

Rach, they like the result to be over 20 so while it would be borderline acceptable for a medicated cycle it doesn't mean it didn't happen either. It's certainly possible you have ovulated, some just have lower progesterone levels(this is also why I'm on a trigger shot). I would think your FS will take the wait and see what happens over the next week approach. Either AF will arrive or not. This TTC game sux bad. You haven't failed, we can't control whats happening to our bodies with clomid any more than we could without it. If anything you are now a bit more educated about what to expect and a higher dose could be all thats needed.Thats the hardest part of all is finding what dose works for each of us then we let nature do its thing. Good luck talking to your FS.

We managed to get in another bd session last night abeit a quickie. Now the TWW begins...argh!!!!!

Jez, I'm surprised your partner hasn't been tested yet. You can try taking robitussin which helps your CM or preseed helps too.
If you do go onto injectables, the needles aren't that bad. the first couple are daunting but they don't hurt. The needles are so fine, its the psychological part to get past more than anything. I had 6mths of injectables ttc DD1.
You should also get a HSG done prior to starting any further treatment to ensure your tubes aren't blocked.
Lets hope you get the BFP this month and nothing more is needed.

Oh ok....thanks for your response So I still could be in the running? But doesn't progesterone also need to be a good level to sustain a pregnancy? Do u think I should ask for the trigger shot or progesterone supplements or something??

This ttc does suck super bad! It's been more than 12 months now and it feels like the news gets worse and worse not only a mc and an ectopic now I'm not ovulating properly and my progesterone is low???! Argh- anyone else feel like this (you probably all do )

So frustrating because I did get positive opks Oh well.

Hope you caught ur eggy chook!!

    Xo
