    Hi everyone,
Just stopping in to say hi and CONGRATULATIONS to everyone with great news! It is fantastic to hear the success stories - hearing them from you makes me feel so happy and hopeful!

Missmya - how are you going hon? Been thinking of you and hope you're feeling a bit happier than we were on Monday!

AFM, I am playing the waiting game now for AF - CD13 and it feels like forever away Had bloods on CD10 (the horrible day when she said they were terrible) and another set done yesterday on CD12. I am having so so many blood tests now (for another health condition monitoring as well) that I have scarring over my cubita fossa on both arms. Means that everytime I have blood taken now it's painful and I bruise hideously - I am sporting one from my elbow almost to my wrist today. Yikes. But if it means we might get a BFP at some stage, it is all worth it (although I'm starting to get worried looks and comments about my bruises and needle marks on my arms!!!)

Can I just ask - are there any lupus sufferers here as well? I'm on a host of other meds as well as the Clomid and feeling a bit apprehensive that the Clomid might make my illness flare. I am a walking dispensary of drugs at the moment - and I'm the kind of person who won't even take Panadol unless I have to!! If there are any other autoimmune ladies on here I'd love to hear your stories with fertility too.

    Hey

No lupus but I was investigated for that, scleroderma and sarcoidosis. Turns out I have a rarer form of sarcoidosis- I never go into remission!!!! My ace levels have been almost 300 since I was 14 yrs old.

I have the same concerns being on meds and the affect on fertility and illnesses. I am convinced my ectopic was sarcoid related for sure. If a granuloma didn't cause it I'd be SHOCKED I also have slight heart problems and had a bleed on the brain from a ruptured DVA a little while ago. I hate how there is no research into these conditions and fertility. Some drs I talk to have never even heard of sarcoid so my questions are never answered!! Is it any better with lupus???

hey Bubba, funny you coming in here today. I have been thinking about you and stalked your posts in the charting thread earlier today!(sorry)
If I get a chance later tonight or tomorrow I'll PM you.

Goosey, someone else has just been on the pill too. I'd never heard of it for clomid but I can only assume that it'll bottom out your hormone levels. It's a known prcedure before starting certain IVF cycles so this is just the course your FS appears to have taken.

Hi Rach - nope! No better with lupus! I also have a heart condition which means my heart goes too fast all the time for no good reason- snap! What's with immune problems and concurrent health conditions?! It's never just one thing is it?! I have steroids and anti-lupus drugs constantly, and now with the Clomid I really start to worry about interaction effects, and how that's affecting pregnancy options too!!

It sounds like you have some similar concerns - I'm right there with you! It is exceptionally frustrating when doctors don't understand what you have and how it affects you! Immune-related diseases seem to be notoriously difficult to manage and to get people to understand. I think my advice to you if you feel like you aren't getting your questions answered is to keep looking until you find a specialist who has an intimate knowledge of your condition. Life got a lot easier for me when I found my specialist - he is FANTASTIC and so honest with me. I just don't see him hugely regularly, but will be asking him tonnes more questions next time I see him about Clomid and my health condition.

You poor thing not going into remission, that really sucks! I have chronically raised inflammatory markers so my body is always fighting itself...one of the many joys. I just get so worried about a little baby developing when my body is so inflamed and attacking itself! Adds to the stress of not even being able to fall pregnant/ovulate at the moment!!

    Hi Ladies
Had an appointment with FS today. She was really quite surprised i was pregnant yet. Chlomid seems to be working and I have O'ed on all 3 cycles but no BFP, even with the nurses monitoring me by lots of bloods and telling me exactly when to DTD. FS said that the problem with Chlomid is that it can make your mucus too sticky and the swimmers can't get through.
So if I;m not pregnant this cycle ( currently 4DPO) then DH is off to have a sperm anaylis and i will start on injections and a trigger injection if needed. Little scared about the idea of injecting myself (ok a lot scared). I have no issues with needles, especially after all the bloods I have had, but injecting them into myself is a whole other thing. So hoping for a BFP this month so I don't have to go down that path. Not feeling confident though , no symptoms and just don't have 'that feeling' IYKWIM.
