I don't know the length of my cycles because I haven't had one in 1 year being off the pill. So con fussed
    Hi there

Your levels of progesterone should go up after you've ovulated, so that's what they're checking for. Good luck!

Hi again girls! I went and saw the FS today who has prescribed me clomid and progesterone pessaries. He has only prescribed me 1/2 tables (25mg) to begin with. I have never come across this dose in all my research! Is anyone else on 25mg? Any idea why he would start so low?

I have read of people taking 25mg but only known people to take 50mg to start, I would say your Dr thinks that your history only requires a small 'kick start' to get O happening maybe? I would take it as prescribed I hope 25 is all you need.

Well some of you will know me and some won't I was chatting in here regularly months ago but thought I'd drop in and say hi again, for those who don't know me and as a catch up:

My DH is 38 and had a vasectomy reversal in July last year, we got is latest SA back yesterday and no problems there... I am 32, have PCOS and i'm a fatty , I am currently on round 10 of clomid, 50mg combined with metformin 500mg 3 times a day, I have O'd every cycle on clomid but still not UTD so this cylce we have tried something new and yesterday I had a Pregnyl injection to trigger O and I had acupuncture on CD3 and CD7, when I had my dild0cam yesterday it showed my endometrium/lining was the best it has ever been and I'm hoping this month is our month FINALLY! also having lymphatic massage on Monday so will be interesting to get that done!

    Hi everyone!!
I'm wondering if I can join this group?? I going to be starting my first clomid in a few days. I'm just finishing up on provera and I'm hoping AF won't to be far behind that (I've waited 11 weeks already for her so she better arrive!!!! ) I'm a little nervous and also a little excited I'm just wondering if anyone had any success in pregnancy on their first month of clomid? My specialist has a detailed schedule that I have to follow. When to start, when to call him to book ultrasound, when to have ultrasound, when to have blood test to check my progesterone levels, when to take a pregnancy test! It sound all so easy on paper haha im really hoping that we are successful first month.. And wishing everyone else success this month as well! xx

Just wanting to wish everyone starting their cycles a positive month ahead!

MyBabyBells - I only took 25mg and fell pregnant! Your doc must've taken your history into account so do as he says this month, he will adjust next month if it isn't working. Reasons why I started on only 25mg - I am a small girl (53kg) and I did have some follicle activity happening but I just wasn't ovulating. My Dr absolutely didn't want me having multiples which is a risk if your dose is too high.

Missmya - your specialist sounds similar to mine (I'm in Bris too!) and I loved having everything set out, nothing to stress or wonder about. And it worked first month for me.

MyAlterego - sounds like you are doing everything possible this month! I really hope it works for you.

    FallenAngel - Goodluck!

    to you all.

Thanks for the responses myalterego and mashedveg. I'm not small at 73kgs, but i DO ovulate on my own and its to try and fix a short luteal phase, which he thinks could be from a weak ovulation, so I guess if its just to boost it does make sense.

MyBabyBells - Oh wow that's the same as me, short luteal phase and weak ovulation. The 25mg fixed it so hopefully that's all you need too.
