Red face Where does this bit go?! - Angelcare Captiva Nappy Bin

    Hi all,

I recently purchased the Angelcare Captiva nappy bin. I got it home and opened it up to find the instruction manual for assembly was one of those wordless diagrams. It wasn't a huge problem as I put it together and it seemed ready to go except that I have a spare part. It is a a piece of plastic that doesn't seem to be referenced in the pretty pictures and doesn't seem to have a place anywhere in the mechanism of the bin.

Would anyone happen to know what the extra bit is and where it is supposed to go????

I have the exact same problem and was coming on now to ask too! lol... no answers here - sorry - but I await the answer.

BTW - I'm not sure I'm that impressed with it... You?

I just had a thought - could it be something you can use to push the nappy in with??

Yeah I can't say that I'm overly impressed either. The plastic housing isn't very solid and I notice I've gotta try and shape it in order to get the two halves to close. I get the impression that I need to spread the amount of wrapping to the bin circumference as it wont nicely do that as more nappies goes. It also looks like it will be a lot of work to push nappy into the bin and definitely not a one handed job!

Don't know if the plastic bit is for pushing the nappy in but you'd think they wouldnt need to include a tool for doing that if the product was any good?? Or perhaps that is the company's way of saying "Ha ha! Should have bought the deluxe model!" LOL

    Hi Melster,

FYI - I went back to the baby store today and had a really good look at the one they had on display along with the sales assistant. There was definitely no sign of the random unknown bit! We came to the conclusion that if it all looked thr same as the display one then whatever the bit is, probably isn't needed. I'll keep it and sticking to that theory until proven otherwise!
