    Default Baby Journal...

    Do you keep one?

I am wanting to start one (am a little late i know) DS is acheiving so many new things and I want to record his progress, the baby record book we have is very basic.

Any recommendations for a nice book for maybe first several years? or has anyone made their own scrap book kind of journal?

    Thanks

I had a pregnancy journal when I was pregnant with ds. It was good, because it suggested things to write about, even though I found myself writing something different half the time. When he was born all I could find were record books, which didn't really give you anywhere to write personal things IYKWIM. I ended up just buying a really nice journal and writing letters to him. I write in it every month, or sooner if something special happens, just to let him know whats happening and what he has achieved in that time. By not having a specific record book, I've found I can write whatever I like and as much or as little as I like without being hampered by page constraints. Plus I can make it much more personal and tell him how he's the best baby ever born (Yeah, I'm a little biased lol )

I also have a memory box for him with all sorts of little bits and pieces, ie his hospital bracelet, christening certificate, first painting, birthday cards etc. I do plan to scrapbook photos etc, but I have thousands of them (my camera is permanently attached to my hand) and can't find the time to start. I tend to print out special photos and put them loose in his journal or just into the memory box.

That's just what I've found works for me. Hope it helps
