    Default Thumb sucking...OK??

DS is 3 months now and has found his thumbs. Ive tried to give him a dummy but he prefers his thumb. Ive always prefered dummies as you can take them away in the end... cant do that with thumbs!!

Did your babies suck their thumbs and did it become a problem later??

Should i try and stop it now or let him be??

BTW, DD (now 2) has a dummy...always prefered that to her thumb, so this thumb sucking thing is all new to me!

My Dd1 had a dummy so no issues there but my DS was a thumb sucker. He had a dummy for the first couple of months but ended up preferring his thumb. His thumb sucking only lasted a few weeks then he just stopped doing it all together so that was pretty easy!
DD2 however is now 5.5 months old and us a huge thumb sucker!! She had a dummy for the first couple of weeks but stopped using it and began sucking her thumb. She shows absolutely no signs of stopping it anytime soon and won't go to sleep unless she can get to her thumb!!!! I even tried giving her her dummy again but she wanted nothing to do with it!!!
