Default How long til your milk came in?

    Hi all..
As the title asks, just wandering how long after birth did your milk come in? I can't remember with my other two.
Bubs is 2 days old today and starving!! I have her on a lot to try and get my supply happening. I'm starting to feel really bad for her because she's so hungry and it's not there yet. A midwife suggested giving her 10ml of formula just to ease her crying/hunger a bit....
Hoping my milk isn't too far away

With DS1 it took 5 days

With DS2, by the 3rd-4th day.

With DD by the 3rd day

I think with each i just had them feeding more & more so it would come in quicker!

Hope you are overflowing soon enough & congratulations!!!

Don't give her formula!!! That's so contradictory to encouraging breastfeeding.
My Ds was the same. Not long after my milk started.
Hang in there. Let her keep sucking and it will happen.

Thank you SO much!! I feel like she is permanently attached but am so happy with that if it means she will get it sooner.
Such a beautiful and exciting time.
    I'm in love!!

contrast on your new arrival!! yes just keep her attached as much as possible it really does help!

with my first I had we had attachment issues so was almost day 5

    my 2nd day 3

and 3rd &4th was actually a bit less than 48hrs both were on the breast constantly.

Make sure you drink plenty of water & eat when you can as it'll help

5 very long days. Don't give FF - we did and I truly believe this is the reason my LO refuses to BF now.

mine came in on 3rd day from memory. Bubs should be ok with colostrum until your milk comes in. Dont feed formula instead express colostrum and feed bubs that maybe
