Thanks Jojo :-) Hi Minimiss, Big Congratulations! That's so exciting :-) Thank u for any information that may help or covering anything that I've missed,. This is all still new to me,. Im learning Alot,. But still don't know everything :-) However, I did state that it is Illegal to accept payment for Surrogacy (page 1) The information i've collected so far is Specifically from QLD Fertility Group,. Im not sure how other clinics or states are different etc,. It would take me forever to research every clinic in every state lol :-) Ppl can add their procedure, costs, which clinic may or may not have the 6 month quarantine etc,. I just thought I would start with QLD and the Clinic that my IP's and myself are considering to go through to have procedure done :-) x

FEES OTHER THAN THOSE PAYABLE TO QFG:- An proximate cost has been noted where possible. However, it is strongly suggested that the commissioning couple ascertain costs prior to commencement of treatment by any party. * Specialist Physician Consultation (where a prospective surrogate is over 43 yrs of age) Approx cost $200 - $500 * Psychiatric Counseling (if required) for any party. * Preconception independent legal advice and preparation of the Surrogacy Arrangement for both parties. Approx cost $5,000 - $10,000 *Optional purchase of Life Insurance Policy for your Surrogate for a suggested period of 1 yr, to take affect prior to pregnancy. *Following confirmation of pregnancy - prenatal testing and possible costs associated with termination if suggested.

LiveLife great answer. I hope you might be able to help me. We are a couple from the USA. My best friend who lives in Melbourne would like to be our surrogate.
Would it be a problem if we are from overseas?

I am a healthy 30yr old non smoker non drinker single mum with 4 kids and have finished having kids. Perfect candidate for a surrogate but
Now referring to the above comment 'unjust to charge thousands 4 unfortunate couples' agree thousands maybe unjust but if I were to offer to be a surrogate if the laws were different I would be so grateful for the couple to help me out as well. Being a single working mum it is hard to pay for things sometimes eg car being fixed or kids dancing. I wouldnt ask for money but definaetly would think about how I could help my kids out also by doing this.
