Thanks everyone have been trying on and off for over a year - diagnosed early in the year and it was all too much for me to cope with so went back on the pill and forgot about ttc for a while. Its really depressing finding out you have a condition like this when all of your friends just fall pregnant without trying! Even harder when they keep asking when you are going to settle down because you should have kids... Especially seeing as though me and DH have been married a LOT longer than anyone else.... I used to joke and tell people we couldnt have kids just to get them off my back... Now hopefully i havent jinxed myself!! I know i havent o'd this cycle and still waiting for af to arrive (currently cd36) and no sign she is even coming Has anyone else been diagnosed with pcos who is not overweight or underweight? Ive read so much about how losing weight can help, but nothing about help for normal sized women? Anyway, thanks for the rant :/

    Good luck familyplanner and kellymac

Welcome Shakles. I have pcos and am not overweight or underweight- BMI=20 just in the healthy range. My fertility specialist says I have 'lean' pcos. Its harder to treat because no weight loss will help. I also have been with my DH for a long time and I only wish we'd accidentally fell when we were 20 or something! It is very hard to see everyone else get pregnant I know that feeling all too well. Over the last year I have watched my sister and two close friends get pregnant then give birth to their babies.

AFM- no good news i'm afraid. The blood test was negative
and to add to it my FS wants me to have a laproscopy NEXT TUESDAY!! Im so shocked. I have to have anaesethic testing and everything by then. He thinks I might have endometriosis as well (my sis has it) so it may be hindering our chances. So looks like I will be having a very tender christmas! Has anyone had a lap and endometriosis scraped?? If so i wold love to hear how it was....

Yup- another 'lean' PCOSer here! It has affected my weight however- but only by a few kilos. I wouldn't have thought so but when I went on the metformin I lost only 2kgs- but 6cm off my waist. I used to always weigh around 58kg in the last year then went up to 65 and couldn't budge from there no matter what I did.

A not confused about my OPK. Got a positive one the other night so didn't test again. Did another one about two days after and it was feint. So for curiosity's sake I did one last night and this morning and the line is SO dark and comes up immediately. I'm disappointed because husband is away til Friday!!!! I think I've missed it but I'm recording all the dates and tests so I can chart my cycles.

Another "lean" pcoser here too, bmi is 20, I was quite underweight for a very long time tho so not sure if I actually count, only just because "normal" weight in the last year.

Hey Lovely Ladies!!! sounds like theres a bit of activity going on!! must be christmas blessings I'm hoping!!! We MUST all stay strong!!!
Hello to my cycle buddies!!! I hope you are progressing well!!! I have had a rollercoaster of a week last week!!!

I was really feeling like everything was going a bit slowish! And not to mention my tolerance at work and in general for everything has been extremely low as I've had a bit of a hormonal ****ty ride over the past week.

My Oestrogen last week was at 199 on Monday (5th) and then on Wednesday when I had another BT it had dropped to 100!!! which really upset me and the clinic called me to go back in the arvo and gave me a shot of Pregnyl and I had to return the following morning and they had also increased my dose of Puregon to 75 units which is what I'm currently on. Finally, on Saturday morning's BT, it showed that we have lift off and the pregnyl boosts and extra upped dose of Puregon has been working (slowly) and my oestrogen on Saturday was at 209!! which I was TOTALLY stoked about.

I then went back for another BT yesterday and my results came back at 849!! I was SOOO shocked that I even asked the nurse "Are You SURE you have the right blood?!! Do you want me to spell my last name again?!!" LOL!!

So yes, I had another BT this morning and a U/S and I had lots of follicles that were little and one dominant one measuring around 18mm this morning which is awesome news and I've been told to trigger tonight

I cant believe it!!! My hubby is happy too which is real sweet as this is the furthest we've come in over the 2 years that we've been ttc. I have to start the pessaries on Thursday and then back for another BT next Tuesday.

I hope you are all going well and your cycles are going to plan. Welcome to the newbies. to everyone and lots of to all.

Oh shootingstar Im so glad for you that sounds very positive!!
AFM- AF arrived today! Not ideal but I'm not overly disappointed (trying to see the bright side) cos it means I O'd when I thought and have a nice 14 day luteal phase.

I should be due to O around Christmas/new year

As you can see from my signature I've been on a bit of a long ride and obviously it's not over but I'd love to hear from anyone that maybe going through FSH injections???
