Hi ladies. Thought I'd give you an update on where I am at.

I'm now on day 20 of injections, and I'm currently on 100iu of Puregon, going up tonight to 125 iu.

I'm starting to get pretty down in the dumps again. I went in for my latest blood draw this morning and my levels had actually gone DOWN

So they've put me on 125iu until Monday, and then another bloodtest. I am going nuts with it, though. I'm so worried it won't work at all, or that my ovaries will suddenly go nuts and I'll end up with too many follicles.

The IVF nurse told me today that if they don't see a response by the end of next week they'll cancel the cycle. I am going to be so upset if after over 30 days of injections it's all for nothing.

Sorry to be a downer, but you guys know how it is, so it's good to vent here

Hi 1babyplease! Oh dear!! I got that way when I was having the injections, so i am not looking forward to what the clomid may do to me!! HAHA I don't know how many follicles on each side I have, but it must be a lot, the FS nearly choked on her coffee when I showed her my ultrasound. She is a PCOS specialist and went "OH WOW THOSE ARE IMPRESSIVE"! HAHA The injections worked great for me, I had one dominant follicle and that was it, the rest were just sitting there. And ovulated no problem. Never tried clomid before... Good luck with your little follies!! Hopefully the others will back off and you can do your IUI!!!!!!!!!!

Tiika - Welcome!! I think i spoke to you in another thread!! I am on provera at the moment, sometimes it takes me 5 days to get AF, and other times it takes less. Are you on Metformin for the insulin resistance?? 3 month wait!!! EKK!!! I hate my couple of weeks!!!

CinderElla- That sucks! Good that you are on the waiting list!! You can always cancel the op later on if you change your mind, good to get on the list and for that year to start counting down! Did you have the ultrasound dye test thing to see how your tubes are? I thought that was the only way to see if the tubes were blocked?? or do they think that maybe the tubes arn't picking up the egg properly due to something on the outside?? Does she want to try drilling or something??

Kellymac - Uh oh, familiar pains are no good, but excellent that you ovulated! Lets hope that AF hurries up then so you can try again!!

    Everyone!!

    Mam

Kedgie -So sorry your ovaries are not doing what you want them too! Hopefully they will surprise you and respond beautifully to the extra 25 units!!

Oh and cinderElla - Sorry, i just googled it, they inject a dye or something and watch it laproscopically - all makes sense now

    Hi Mam

Yes we might have spoke already, i did start a thread afew weeks ago now but i dont seem to be getting many responses so i though i would join this one.

Nope she has not put me on anything other then provera and im so glad it worked as she told me it might not have done anything for me.

Her reason for not giving me anything is because she does not want me to get pregnant within the 3 months because of the risks associated with the injection i got and pregnancy. Which sucks big time

i was very upset about the wait at first but now im just hoping that some miracle occurs and provera jumps my body back into working itself

Do you have to take provera every month or has it help your body go back to normal?
Sorry about all the questions, its my first time taking this and all she told me was take it for 7 days, i dont know if i have to take it every month for 7 days or what..

Tikka- I'm on similar drug to provera which is called primolut that I take to kick start my period. I didn't have to take it this month because I ovulated and my body created it's own progesterone and that led to AF arriving without the drugs.

I think these drugs are designed to trick your body into thinking that you did ovulate by giving you a progesterone boost which your body would normally create on it's own if you had ovulated.

Long story short: If you are able to pop an egg out then AF will either arrive without medicated encouragement or she will stay away for a good reason

I have decide that there needs to be a name for hoped for babies.

An angel baby is a baby that you physically hold breifly but hold in your heart forever. A hope baby is a baby that you dream about constantly but may never hold...... Both types of heart ache are hard to put into words.

Quick update from me ladies. Was on standby for IUI today, estrogen came back at 888 (oddly 8 is my favourite number) so they want to hold us over until Monday so it gets up to 1000. Looks like only one follicle- YAY!! Glad the others have backed off. IUI booked Monday at 1pm. This is my second non-cancelled cycle in a year. Please let this be the one!

Could be a late implantation bleed?? Some break through bleeding isn't uncommon during the early stages of pregnancy. Have you tested recently?
