    Hi Ladies!!

Thought I would introduce myself, im mam, I'm 28 and diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16. My whole life I have only ovulated once (that I know of) and that was with injections a few years back when i was TTC (unsuccessfully) with my ex hubby.

Im on Metformin now 1500 daily and currently on day 2 of provera to bring on AF for my very first clomid cycle!!! Very excited!

Im currently on day 380 or something so im really looking forward to getting a period! Like a long lost friend!!

Im also not overweight, BMI 21 at last check, and have very stubborn ovaries!! Even the FS looked at my ultrasound the other day (and she is a PCOS specialist!!) and said "WHOA!! THOSE ARE SOME IMPRESSIVE OVARIES!!!"

You gal's seem like a lovely bunch, looking forward to getting to know you all! Wishing everyone good news!!!

    Mam xo

    Welcome mam

Well I am at CD 16 and I don't think I ovulated this is my first cycle on metformin (2000mg) and I was really holding out hope but nope!

I am temping and OPKing- haven't had a positive on the OPK and my temps haven't had a real spike- although they seem to be going down the last few days??

I hate this game that is PCOS- I don't wanna play anymore!!

Welcome mam! You will get lots of support here.

Cotton candy PCOS really sux. Have OPK's worked for you in the past? I only ask because often foe ppl with PCOS they don't work/are unreliable. I gave up on them myself.

    Welcome Mam and 21andtrying

Cotton Candy- I was on metformin alone for 3 months and on it's own, it was not able to make me ovulate. Hopefully your doc tries clomid soon.

I find with OPKs that I never get a true positive unless I am actually ovulating although they often come close.

I haven't had any success with OPKs in the past- but I haven't had a normal ovulatory cycle since I've been trying them!

Next cycle I will test in the arvo rather than with FMI- and also I will see when I get AF to see if the metformin helped I guess.

Back to my GP on the 8th December for more bloods, but I'm not sure if shel'l give me clomid, wait longer on just the met, or refer me to a FS.

Anyone due to test this week?? I need to hear some good news- even if it's not mine!!!!

I'm only CD3 so no testing for a while. When using OPKs they are meant to work best when used of an afternoon or you might miss the surge.

I would ask to be referred to an FS so you can get the show on the road. I hate sitting around and waiting for things to happen.

CottonCandy I hope everything works out for you this cycle! My doc has advised me to test again on Friday if my period hasn't shown up. So fingers crossed my BFN was just a test taken too early!!

Oooooo KellyMac I have my fingers crossed for u.

FP I hate waiting around too but seeing as this is my first 'normal' cycle TTC I am ok with giving it 2 or three months to see how I go, and then moving onto clomid....
