hoped for weight loss ( hasn't happened)
some nausea and intestinal upset initially (only in the first week though)

nothing (good or bad) noticed since really . I take it at night with my evening meal - this is the suggested time to take it (with food) so you notice less side effects overnight than if you took it in the morning. my dose may not be high enough to cause any major side effects though either

Angela, I've been on metformin on and for about 7 years as I am insulin resistant and what the docs like to call 'pre-diabetic'. The first time I was on it I was so nauseous, but I've been fine the past few years. No weight loss though

I had minor nausua for the first week but nothing since. I have been loosing weight but I've also been exercising more and eating better. I'm on 500mg twice a day with food.

Hi Everyone - this is my first post. I am currently TTC baby #1 I've had two cycles of Clomid with which I haven't ovulated. Im now waiting for Day 35 of this cycle to start Primolut and then Clomid again. I just wanted to share stories with other ladies in the same boat. I have 2 friends with PCOS but they cant really relate to my situation as one is not TTC and the other has just had a baby with no medication at all!
Hope to chat to some wonderful ladies here!

    Hi KellyMac,
This is also my first post too and noticed you had the same situation so thought i would start here. I also have PCOS.
I have just taken my 6th cycle with chlomid. I was originally on 50mg and unfortunately i was ovulating all over the place if at all. My doctor from IVF Aus has put me on 75mg now and i took this in the cycle just been. I ovulated on day 18 this time and if my cycle is a 28 day cycle (which unfortunately i never know as I am so irregular) I would have been due for my period yesterday. I took a test tonight.. it was negative but thought I would test in a few days again as i ovulated a little later than others with a normal period would. I have an appointment next tues with doctor. I just am so over the disappointment and the heartbreak

How have you felt so far with Chlomid? I have found I am getting a few weird side affects.

Thanks Windupbird, I appreciate the info. I know deep down I just have to wait til Monday. It's so hard!

Welcome KellyMac! You have come to the right place. Lots of ladies here have done, or are doing clomid, and can offer great support. Are you seeing a fertility specialist or a gyno? Have they upped your dosage of clomid? It didn't work for me, but lots of people do have success with it. Good luck!

Afm, I POAS again this morning, cos I'm nuts. I think the positive was slightly lighter than yesterday. Trying my best not to let that worry me. I'll test again tomorrow and see. TWW is beyond stressful!!!!

Hi ladies. I haven't had any notable side affects from clomid, just from metformin. I'm seeing a gyno/obstetrician who is really good. He also works with Sydney ivf so if we have to go down that road we can stick with him. I started on 50mg of clomid for cycle 1 then went to 100 for cycle 2 and will be taking 100 again next cycle. My progesterone levels were around 3 on both day 21 blood tests. My doc told me that 100mg is normally the highest dose of clomid they give. He also said if we get to about the 5 cycle and I'm not pregnant he will recommend the injections..... Which I don't know a lot about. However I'm hoping for a good result this cycle because husband goes to Europe for a month at the end of September so there will be no trying over that time! Thanks for your support already!

Hi everyone - doesnt the TWW suck!

Welcome to the new ladies - hope you enjoy your time in here and its really short!!

Just a few questions - I had the trigger shot on monday at about 1045 - told I would O around 1am on tuesday but I dont know if I did because I didnt do OPKs and was just wondering what you guys would count me as in regards to DPO.

Also I have done a few HPTs cos I thought it would be cool but they have all been neg - but given I only had the trigger shot on monday shouldnt like loads of HCG be in my system at the moment. Is it possible my body didnt absorb it? I have had zero symptoms of O - no pain or nothing so am a little confused and since I dont go back to FS until the 26th thought maybe you guys could offer advice on these questions.

I have a feeling I didnt O and as DH has been working we only got to bd once and didnt bd again the next day so probably missed it anyways.

I cannot believe I have to wait til the 26th for blood test - feels like ages and ages.

Hope you ladies are all going well and I am really excited to see more and more coming up!!

    xoxo
