Ladydee, you are so good with remembering all of the people on this thread! Go you!

Welcome Bec and MrsPuMp, I have been here a short time only and have found the info and support to be just fabulous. It is such a nice thing to be able to talk with people who just get it! Good luck to you both.

Ladydee, it sounds like this one is going well for you! I had been wondering when you'd pop in with an update. I will be crossing my fingers for you.

To the ladies who have had their BFP's, you are my inspiration! Keep visiting!

Ellymoe, it sounds like we're in the same time frame. I took my last Clomid tablets last night. I hope this is the one for us both!

AFM I had bloods this morning... They showed that my levels had come up a bit but they're still on the low side. I feel okay about it cos the nurse said that last time they didn't move at all and it's very early so I'm staying hopeful. I have more bloods on Wednesday, that will be day 5 after clomid so hopefully by then things will be looking up. I have no clue what cycle day I'm on since I've done 2 hits of clomid in the one cycle, technically it is day 25, very confusing.

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice long weekend!

Violet - We are indeed! I ovulated on day 14 last cycle so hoping it will be the case again this time!

Ladydee - I am indeed a clomid baby . My mum isn't dead set opposed to IVF, but she would never do it herself for her own moral reasons, so I've just decided to keep everything to myself. She would have just not had kids, they had put their names down on the adoption list when they thought they might not be able to have any, and then obviously took them off after things got a bit more positive! I don't have any ethical concerns about IVF, even before I thought I might have to go through it. I am just hoping to fall this cycle or next! I really, really don't want to inject myself with stuff and pay a fortune . Hope your TWW goes fast

Ellymoe & waiting - thanks for the advice. i had an ultrasound done a while ago not recently however and i had bt done early april when i got the referral to the gyno and it took me from mid april until 16 june to get an appt with her. i have been seeing her since i was 17 for lack of periods etc and at my last appt in oct last year she said try for 3 months and if no luck then come in and we will discuss how to move forward from there so that i will get some answers and a way to progress forward. i will be so upset if they turn around and say oh keep trying. there will be a major tanty occuring if that is what they say haha.

waiting - CONGRATULATIONS i wish you all the best and trhat you have a wonderful preg.

ellymoe & violet hope - you catch that little egg. how do you know when you have o'd on clomid? do you need to get bt done quote often to track it or is it just BD like crazy and hope thats enough? i spose i will find this all out on thurs but good to be able to chat to others that are doing the exact same thing. a few of my friends have just looked at their husbands and then BANG baby hahah

to everyone else ill be waiting and watching for your good news too

im so excited for my appt on thurs tho so i will deffo keep u upto date on what they say. definately ready for the new chapter in my life

Ladydee - great news for you! Glad to hear everything has happened much faster this cycle. that this is a good sign and that everything continues to go well for you. Such great results!! Will be keeping everything crossed until the 24th that this is your month!!! Hopefully the party planning will keep you busy until then... And thanks so much for saying it's still ok to pop in on this thread every now and then - I really want to follow until everyone in here at the moment has their good news.

Violet - good luck for Wednesday. I hope that your results keep getting higher over the next few days and that you get some fabulous bt results this week.

MrsPuMp - I hope the gyno can give you some guidance at your appointment - it would be so frustrating if she already gave you a 3 month timeframe and then didn't want to help you now. I think once those sorts of timeframes have been and gone, they're usually pretty good at taking the next step in helping. When on clomid, most doctors will arrange a progesterone bt for day 21, at least for the first month, to tell whether or not you Od. The level needs to be over a certain amount to show whether or not it's happened. If you don't O on the initial 50mg dose, then they will increase the dose to 100mg and then monitor how that affects your progesterone levels to see if it's having the desired effect. Good luck again for Thursday, hope it goes well for you.

Violet - The clomid side effects are horrible aren't they. I generally found if I took it at night it wasn't so bad but sounds like that isn't working for you. Good luck for your bloods on Wed.

MrsPump - Welcome to the thread!! The ladies in here are so helpful and friendly you'll be in safe hands!!

Waiting - I'm feeling pretty good. The ms has really started to kick in the last few days and I'm sick as soon as I get up in the morning....only once though and then I seem to be fine. It comes back at about 5pm and I really feel terrible then. The only way I seem to keep it under control is to always make sure my stomach is full. I've noticed as soon as I get a little bit hungry I start to feel sick. Green cordial is also keeping me going I've been reading up the duff by Kaz Cooke.... I recommend it if you haven't already go it. It has a lot lighter take on the pregnancy journey but is still very informative. Each week I click over to a new week I read about that week in the book

Ladydee - You are so sweet I will definitely pm you and add you on FB. Yay for IUI day!!! Hopefully it wasn't as uncomfortable as the first time. Awesome follie size and lining thickness too...... I think this is it for you. Keep busy and the 24th will be here before you know it!!!

AFM: Going by my dates I hit 8 weeks tomorrow!!! I have my first official scan on Tuesday night and this will be the first time DH will get to see the little bub. As I was saying to waiting the ms has started coming on stronger. The thing that works best for me is keeping full and green cordial.

Hope everyone else is going well.

Question Pre-plan or deal with it as it happens

    Some quick questions for everyone?

Who has already decided and booked their OB?
Who has already decided their hospital?
Who is going public and who private?
Are any of you in perth?

Im curious as I am going to ask about the fees and things when i go in on thurs but how early can you book these things in?

Had a dream last night that i popped some pills and it made me really need to go the toilet and i POAS and got 2 little lines then by the same time the next day i had given birth to a baby beagle.............. just hope that it means im going to have a baby eventually and not my dog haha

Hope everyone is having a gr8 day

    Thanks Zammy

    MrsPump -
Who has already decided and booked their OB? I'm a high risk patient so am under the care of a specialist so I didn't get to choose mine. But at least I know I am in the best care for my condition
Who has already decided their hospital?
That was decided by the above but I knew that at the start of my TTC journey
Who is going public and who private?
    Public
Are any of you in perth?

    No

I don't think you can actually book your ob until you are utd..... I could be wrong though. I would definitely start researching now and then book your ob as soon as you get your bfp. I know some of them do book up pretty quickly.

AFM: I had my 8 week scan today and it was sort of like a farewell from my FS. He has now set me free on my pregnancy path I still can't believe I've made it this far DH got to see the little bub for the first time so that was amazing. The bub was measuring 7w 5d which the FS said he was happy with and the heart was 160 bpm. As soon as you see that little flicker on the screen your whole face lights up with a massive smile. I can't wait for all of you to have that moment too

    Hi Ladies,

Ladydee - haha, looks like lots of us are still stalking So glad to hear that this cycle is going so well. Will be watching the thread anxiously next Friday. Big hugs to you.

Zammy - good to hear from you. Good luck with your bloods Friday. Fingers crossed for good results.

Sammy & Waiting - so glad things are going well for both of you.

MrsPump - I visited several OBs while TTC to find the right one for me. I'm high risk and went private so that I could pick my specialists, OB and hospital. I also did 3 hospital tours while TTC. I agree with Sammy - I don't think you can book an OB until you get your bfp, but I was told by several of the OBs that I visited that since I visited them pre-pregnancy I would be considered an existing patient and would be at the top of their queue. I got a schedule of fees from each doctor with all their fees and how much the Medicare rebate would be for each item.

AFM - 16 weeks and enjoying the second trimester. Can't wait to feel those first kicks and find out the baby's sex.

Lots of babydust to everyone. It feels like it's never going to happen and then one month everything just magically comes together....

A totally selfish post all about me.

My body didn't respond to Clomid 100mg either. I'm gutted. Why isn't it working? Apparently my bloods indicate no change at all. I'm having more on Friday just in case it happens late but I'm doubtful. After that they want to do a 'case review'. I guess that means changing the plan since my body appears to ignore Clomid.

Has anyone else not responded to Clomid? What's next?
