AWESOME NEWS MIGGINS!!!! will be keeping my fingers crossed very hard for you :-D

Welcome to all the newbies and also hi to everyone else!

Sorry its been a while - been absolutely flat out and will catch up with personals in time :-)

AFM - Went to the GP for post DnC and got results that my "missed" miscarriage was caused by Trisomy 45 X - which means that there was one of the sex cromosomes not provided (in 90% of cases the sperm fails to provide) which basically means instead of X from the female and either X or Y from the male there was only an X. This means bub would have been a girl but would have been infertile and most likely would have had disability (but some dont) so we are looking at this as what mother nature intended.

The specialist was fantastic and said that there was no issue with the egg or sperm, no issue with them coming together, no issue with implantation and no issue with the beginning stages of development. It was an issue with the baby and there is nothing we could have done at all. He said that in babies with the thing my bub had 99% miscarry. He also said that there is no more chance of it happening again for me than it happening in any pregnancy.

I am so so happy with that news and now we can try again straight away.

Dr did bloods and said there is next to no chance of my period coming so we start on Primolut on Jan 1 then when AF arrives around the 8th (CD2) i take Serophene for 5 days then from CD7 I start the same dose of the injections that I was on before which should take me up to Jan 20 for my ultrasound :-) . Very excited and positive about trying again so am glad to be back on this thread.

The only annoyance is that I have to wait until 01 Jan to start my cycle of drugs off lol - I am ready now but Dr planned it so he will be back from Holidays and can monitor me when he is back!!!

oh my look at the rant lol so sorry people but am just glad to be back with such an amazing bunch of people and its wonderful to share with some of the only people who truely understand.

Well good luck to everyone where ever you are in your cycles and to all!!!!

Littlejoeyg, it's so great to hear from you, and with such good news. We didn't find out the specific issue with our loss, but our FS put it the same way, nothing wrong with either of our chromosomes, just something didn't develop right and it was fated since day 1, and no more risk than anyone else etc.

So glad to hear you're doing well and that you get to try again soon. I really hope the new year brings you your little bub! FX.

Hey ladies can I ask you a quick question?

I had the trigger on Friday and I am still getting a positive opk? Does my PCOS affect this? Or does it usually take this long for the positive to go?

Thanks in advance! And how will I know how many dpo I am if im still getting positives?

21andtrying - OPK's are notoriously unreliable if you have PCOS.

AFM, It looks like AF has shown up today. I'm supposed to be only 11DPO, so I'm pretty surprised to say the least. I've put a call in to my clinic, but I haven't got a response yet.

I'm pretty upset. This cycle has been pretty tough given I was doing the injections for 34 days before we triggered. To have to do that again..... sigh.

Has anyone else gotten AF that quickly after ovulation? I thought it would be more like 14 days at the earliest.

Big hugs, Kedgie. I can "hear" how devastated you are. Does the Dr have you on progesterone support? You may need this to lengthen your luteal phase and also assist with implantation. Ask them about it.

I am on progesterone, because my body does not produce enough on it's own to compete against the PCOS levels of estrogen.

Had my blood test this morning, have to ring them at 3pm for the result, FX!

Miggins, they haven't put me on Progesterone support, because it looked like my numbers were fine, and my Oestrogen numbers had come down nicely. I will ask about it, though. 11 days seems like too short a luteal phase to me too.

We're going to take a break for a few weeks before we start again, though. 34 days was a long time to be doing injectibles, and I'm very, very tired. I need a few weeks to get myself ready again!

Well my temp has been gradually decreasing over the last couple of days so AF will be here tomorrow. I'm so over this. I just want AF to show so I can try again.

Kedgie- Maybe the trigger is effecting your OPK results. I know that preganel can do that to your OPKs as it has HCG in it and HCG has similar components to LH. I only ever get one day of positives.

Miggins- I have everything crossed for nice high readings for you Let us know how it goes.
