I think the accepted spelling varies state to state, but being a Tassie girl I only like "yeah".
Is it incredibly anal of me to dictate the spelling of slang words? Lol, I don't think so :P

Haha whenever I spell it as "yer" it's because, in my head, that's how it sounds so that's how I want it to read.

Lol, but "yer" reads as if the "er" should be pronounced the same as the "er" in "her".
Mind you, I think I might go a little insane if I saw "yeah" spelled "yair".

ooh tmesis i love that word! i have heard of them, i just wondered specifically about splitting up the word another. lol

on another note, i was at the coffee club today (buying a bag of the rooibos blend they use, it's DELICIOUS) and they have a sign up, can't remember everything it said but it started with 'our barista's blah blah' grrrrrr! i can't remember what it was saying about said baristas, but it was definitely a plural and not a possessive.

So you tried out the rooibos? Isn't it fabulous?! (Not that anything is fabulous enough to make up for blatant apostrophe abuse. )

I saw one at the shops the other day, on a book cover.

    book is:

Misconception: One Couple's Journey From Embryo Mix-Up To Miracle Baby

they had embryo as embyro on the cover!!!!!! And all I could think was that poor couple... all other copies online seem correct (I google image searched lol) but all the ones in A&R were wrong.

sorry for no caps have oddly sleeping newborn in arms!
