I wrote something about "Gray's Anatomy" on FB yesterday, and didn't realise I'd misspelled "Grey's" until several comments had been posted. I didn't feel like I could delete the post to retype it, because all the comments would be deleted.

    Oh my inner conflict!

At least you didn't say "Gary's Anatomy" lol...
Yes, I *have* seen that, I would have put it down to being a typo if the mistake had not been repeated several times...

ROFL, I know that feeling well! I'm usually on FB on my phone which makes it painful to re-post because I have to type the entire post again. I can often be seen at home making a dash for the computer room so I can copy, delete, paste, edit and post again before anyone manages to reply to!

That gave me the biggest giggle!

ETA: I have now edited this post three times and I'm still not entirely happy with the wording but it will have to do!

    Sahie - !!

One that's really annoying me at the moment is hard to explain so I'll just do an example lol!

Anyway instead of any way eg 'if there was anyway for me to be there'.
Happens with maybe too, and others that I can't think of right now.

Oh and a pet peeve spelling error is seperate.
I've noticed a lot lately that people have put defiantly instead of definitely. Perhaps they've written definately and spell check has fixed it incorrectly? Or just got it majorly wrong?

Ooh, "everyday" instead of "every day"!

Sounds like their time would be better spent studying the dictionary rather than being 'inboxed'!

OMG. I can't believe I forgot this one as it really is one of my top pet hates, and to make up for it I've made it my "April tip".

The amount of people who misuse the word "comprise" is just mind-boggling. Another one that real estate agents seem to specialise in!

For anyone who gets confused about how to use it, the word "comprise" should be able to be replaced by "include" in a sentence. Therefore a sentence like "the house comprises of" would become "the house includes of" and you can see it's incorrect. (I'm not suggesting that the words are interchangeable in meaning, just grammatically.)

Instead try "the house comprises four bedrooms, one kitchen...", or "the zoo comprised lions, zebras, bears...".
