ETA: I have now edited this post three times and I'm still not entirely happy with the wording but it will have to do!

Sahie - !!
One that's really annoying me at the moment is hard to explain so I'll just do an example lol!
Anyway instead of any way eg 'if there was anyway for me to be there'.
Happens with maybe too, and others that I can't think of right now.
Oh and a pet peeve spelling error is seperate.
I've noticed a lot lately that people have put defiantly instead of definitely. Perhaps they've written definately and spell check has fixed it incorrectly? Or just got it majorly wrong?
OMG. I can't believe I forgot this one as it really is one of my top pet hates, and to make up for it I've made it my "April tip".
The amount of people who misuse the word "comprise" is just mind-boggling. Another one that real estate agents seem to specialise in!
For anyone who gets confused about how to use it, the word "comprise" should be able to be replaced by "include" in a sentence. Therefore a sentence like "the house comprises of" would become "the house includes of" and you can see it's incorrect. (I'm not suggesting that the words are interchangeable in meaning, just grammatically.)
Instead try "the house comprises four bedrooms, one kitchen...", or "the zoo comprised lions, zebras, bears...".
