Default Anyone's child had a thyroglossal duct cyst?

    HI girls,

We discovered a lump under my sons neck last weekend, and with some quick investigations/bloods/ultrasound ect, he has been diagnosed with having a thyroglossal duct cyst. He will require surgery to remove it along with some thyroid tract and some hyoid bone.

Anyone been through this? How was recovery?

    Thanks, TZJIL

    Hi, TZJIL
I'm not sure if you still use this forum but came across your post about Thyroglossal duct cyst. The GP said my 3 year old son has this and I am waiting on an ultrasound to confirm. I was hoping to speak to you about your experience with this?
