Default Prenatal depression or just baby blues?

Im 36 weeks pregnant this tuesday and I was wondering, has anyone else been going on an eotional rollercoaster lately? Lately Ive been EXTREMELY hormonal and depressive and irritable to the point where Im barely sleeping anymore, Im too depressed to eat right, I cant stop crying at the drop of a hat or getting angry over small things. There's no real good reason to be feeling this way so Im wondering if it's prenatal depression? I dont see my docotor till late next week and I feel silly calling the midwives just to ask about this, but it's getting really overwhelming and its even starting to affect my marriage because I feel so depressed out of the blue all the time for no reason now.

Is this normal for late pregnancy? Its my second bub but my last pregnancy was different to this one so its hard to judge by. Any advice?

I don't know, but it doesn't sound good for you at all

I had prenatal depression when pregnant with number two & it escalated quickly. Therefore it were me, I'd be speaking to the doc or midwife for sure, just in case - i think you'd have nothing to lose and potentially lots to gain.

    Take care

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I feel like that now already

so far my whole pregnancy has been
happy and healthy but the past few weeks I just don't feel myself at all and just want to
stay home sleep and cry for no reason. Suffering a bit of anxiety too

Hi girls I'm so sorry this is happening to you all, I had a lot of depression and anxiety early on in my pregnancy and I was refered by my OB to a centre for post and pre natal depression. It worked for me, they said if I was feeling really low and needed some assistance when they were not available to call PANDA try googling them for their contact details.
For me I worried that it would continue into post natal depression but luckily I didn't rate to high on their scale.

I wish you all the best, I know it's not easy to see now but it does get better.

Also gypsy we are due around the same time I did have a melt down the other night and couldn't stop crying, I think that we are heading to the later stages and our hormones are all over the place (although I didn't like DH pointing it out at the time lol) I felt s****y the next day but have come good again.

    Best wishes and

Hi, thanx for your replies everyone, but yeh its not easy is it. Ive been having these meltdowns everyday and every night, I think I might give that number you suggested a try. I know hubby could do with me leaning on someone else more for support through this since I seem to be driving him up the wall with my constant tears all the time. Looking foward to getting this bubba out and holding him Not to mention getting my body back to myslf again!! lol
