Just turned up at acu for orientation. Heaps of people doing midwifery. Very exciting and terrifying at the same time.

I am not coming until 10am, when all the good action starts about mid. After mandatory day (what chaos), I refuse to be apart of the herd of cattle. Will find things out myself and go for little walkies then to find things.

I should have done the same thing and not struggled with the nightmare traffic to get here. The Gateway is always fun in peak hour!

    Default Disappointed

Is any of the Acu people a little disheartened by today's orientation. It was very ordinary. I was really excited too. Oh well, will have to wait til next week to get better information..

We only had half an hour talk about midwifery, and then the co-ordinator was in a huge hurry to get to her nursing orientation. Those who missed it today, you did not miss much!

Jade - How was your orientation?

Hope next week is better for all of you ACU girls....

2nd yrs at Logan hosp went for orientation today - this semester we had to list days we are available; shifts we'd prefer (no guarantee of getting them though but we were able to make a comment on why we may want only particular shifts). We won't actually be assigned to particular preceptors this time but will be put with a midwife by the team leader. In some ways I think it'll be easier to manage. We are about to become very busy again!
