    Hi Tash,

I remember you (changed my username - was SandraIam). Glad to hear you're nearly done!

Kirsty, I hadn't realised you moved to Townsville....are you doing placement up there? How is it?

AFM, I had an exciting day yesterday - was given my own woman on B/S to care for (with great periodic supervision). Cared for her throughout 1st, 2nd & 3rd stage & immediate postpartum, did the paperwork (most of it anyway). Confidence is high atm Still cannot believe I'll be a MW this time next year!

Ahh, I thought I read 2012. One of our NZ midwives was telling me yesterday that NZ is going to a 4 year midi degree to try & keep more students so at least you dodged on that one How are you finding your program? Ours is full on busy!

Hi everyone. I've received and accepted an early round offer for Bmid at ACU melbourne next year. I'm just wondering if anyone knows - once I've completed that, can I do a shorter post grad degree in general nursing? Or is it another full degree? Midwifery is my main interest but I don't want to be limited to it if I don't have to, you know?

They started the four yr degree when I started in 2010 so I'm the first year of it. It's four years squashed into 3 yrs plus compulsory full time summer school every yr. It puts our degree online with UK in terms of clinical hrs and paper numbers once we graduate

    Welcome back Tash.

I start prac next week, so looking forward to it. Our results are released also. Very excited to finally be in third year. I am doing a 3 week placement in Townsville next year which I am super stoked about becuase we want to move back up there when I am finished Uni.
