    Question Hayfever

I am so over this, have had hayfever for nearly twenty four hours. I have sneezed a million times I think gone through two boxes of tissues and have a nose redder than any clown I have ever seen, I just feel

Just wondering if anyone has any tips/advices for some natural remedies to help relieve hayfever. I have tried Fess nasal spray which seems to do absolutely nothing I am not sure what you can have when pregnant so am a bit confused and not looking forward to even trying to go to sleep tonight when feel this miserable. Any ideas

These are non-"natural" remedies but I have been a chronic hayfever sufferer in the past - my OB says that Rhinocort is a category A drug which means safe in pregnancy, and antihistimines like polaramine are also A drugs. Claratyne hasn't been around long enough to be sure of long term effects but he says that one tablet to get you through a bad attack is okay. Be aware of some of the herbal remedies like echinacea - you need to be aware of the dosage levels that are safe - my pharmacist was very helpful last time I needed a cold "remedy" and steered me clear of them because of the unknown side effects factor.

I realise this isn't a natural remedie but you can take Polarmine, its has an antihistamine in it which makes your nose stop running.

I too woke up with the worst hayfever this morning and was coping all day okay until now and I took one of these and feel a lot better!

Although, the only downside to this is that they make you pretty drowsy.

Polaramine worked well for me when pg with DD and had hayfever. Haven't had to use it yet this pg, but with the wattle in full bloom in Perth at the moment, I don't think it will be long before I have a bad day and have to use it.
If anyone sees the sleep fairy, can they please send her my way
