Hi ladies sorry I didn't see this thread earlier.
I just wanted to add my support to you all. I have lost 72kgs so far and still a long way to go yet. I too have always been overweight. I had my biggest gain with my first dd and just got bigger from there. I happy to chat to anyone either here or through Pm if you prefer. I am very real about weight loss, there are ups and downs. It is bloody hard work but well worth it. I fallen off the wagon a bit lately with no diet food in the house (I am waiting on insurance and wish they would please hurry up). I can't wait to get life back to normal.

Loving5 are you on a special diet? I too am wanting/needing to loose weight, but I dont know which way to go. I have been on just about every diet out there over the years. I think my main problem is motivation and will power. I will start a diet but only will last for couple days.

I had a gastric sleeve back in may last year. I had lost 30 odd kilo before my op and the rest since. So for me it is all about portion control.

A gastric sleeve is different to the banding. The sleeve they remove most of your stomach along with the gland that makes you feel hungry. Your left with a stomach that can hold about 3/4 to 1 cup of food at any one time. It is a similar price to banding. I paid $6600 on top of my PHI. You can get access to your super through APRA if your are obese or morbidly obese to pay for it. If you don't have phi you still can do it, it just costs a lot more. Feel free to ask me anything about it or you can pm if you prefer.
