    My stitch is a bit different, it was done nearly 2 years ago, a trans-abdominal cervical stitch that is permanent and usually done pre-conception.

    It has a higher success rate for women with IC who have suffered past losses but a big down part for many is because this stitch is up so high (part of its success) you can only have baby removed via caesarean section. After birth you can leave the stitch there are they can remove it at the same time.

    I am only 6 weeks 4 days so I await to see how my cervix travels with this stitch in. But irf bed rest is required well we will do whatever it takes to have a baby

    Reading these stories gives me some insight into what could happen, I am having the cervical length scan in 2 weeks to check if it needs stitching as I already have a <3 shaped uterus n I've been having on off bleeding for 3 weeks now

    Hey ladies,
    well i am still here and still no stitch... stupid hosp cant get me in till i am 17 weeks so i am just hoping that they are going to do something to make sure that i dont have another prem... ( i know i am probably really bad, but havent even been to drs since 10 weeks, go on get up me!! )...
    will they still consider doing it?
    and as all others have said, i will be happy once i get to 24 weeks, then we know if we are having a bub or not...
    how is everyone else doing??

    Just saw this and thought I would update you... Well I had my baby boy at 24 weeks plus 6 days he will be 10 weeks old tomorrow it has been a hell of a roller coaster ride but our son is progressing well considering his very early arrival
