Default 35 y/o plus mums-to-be meet up for a coffee? North Lakes and surrounding areas

    Hi everyone,
I'm from North Lakes and wondering if there are any other 'older' (ha ha) first time mums-to-be out there who would be keen to meet up for a coffee.
Although my partner and his family are FANTASTIC, I feel a little alone because my entire family are still in NZ. I have wonderful friends here but I am the only pregnant one.
So, loooove to meet up with anyone who can relate!
I am also keen to meet other new Mums or Mums to be and chat about how you're planning to balance work and life with a bub. I have my own business - which I have been working very hard at for 4 years!! - and do not want to give it up! Not sure how it is all going to work out but keen to find out how others are surviving/planning to make it work.
Please message me with your phone number or email.
    J

    Default Decaf?

    Hi J

Im 28 but an old soul as they say and I have a brand new gorgeous 4 month old boy. I'm English and all my family are back home too along with my closet friends. Same as you, my partners family have been incredible throughout my entire pregnancy and when my bub came along, they were my rock! I'm now at home (I have given up work for the first time in my life and still anxious about it) and feeling lonely and a tad lost. My hubby is just gorgeous but I'm feeling like he is my only adult conversation.

I am loving being a mum but I am struggling when it comes to simply socialising thoughout the day. My friends all work and I'm the only one with a baby so the usual 'meet you at the pub' is out.

I'm also very new to this site so please feel free to contact me via email and we can arrange to meet up if you like?

Hope your handling the heat OK.

    Sez

    Hey Ladies,

Although I'm not a new to be mum, my son is now 2yr, I've been where you are now.

MummaJEB, I believe you can still run your business but you might have to tone it down a little depending on what you are doing. It is hard work but possible. I did my full time job from home a month before my son was born and three months after (until they told me to come back to the office or you don't have a job). Now I'm doing uni externally while staying at home.

Sez, I struggled with socializing too and there was a time where hubby was the only adult conversation. I also gave up work to be a stay at home mum.

    Cheers,
    Sabina

Hi I am 33 weeks with number 1, Also living in North Lakes, I've just finished full time work and I am bored already - there is only so much cleaning and decorating a person can do. All my friends and family work full time or live in Brisbane. I've tried searching for mothers groups etc in North Lakes, but they all seem old, if any one is interested in catching up for chats about anything from pregnancy to gossip possibly start our own mothers group when the bubs are here, please message me

    Hi there

I've just joined a new group in north lakes called "North Lakes Mums Group". It's a pretty new group and get together locally. I think most of the mums are early 30's. You can access it on facebook.

Any older mums still out there?? I'm 33 and looking to find more like minded mums. I have a 12yr old, 11 yr old and a 14mth old with another coming soon! The few northside groups I've tried to attach to are pretty big and hard to connect with if you're shy like me :-( would love to kick off a group of mums that are active- I certainly find it hard to 'sit' and drink with an energetic toddler! Please drop me a line if any of this sounds familiar ;-) kymba13@hotmail.com
