Default twitchy jerking movements. Someone put my mind at rest?

After bugger all movements yesterday and going to have a non stress test which came back totally normal and left me feeling like a stress head. I woke this morning at about 5am to baby moving about like crazy!!
The strange thing was (and he has done this before) every now and then he would make a shuddering/twitching/jerking type movement. I only lasts about 2 or 3 seconds but kind of made me a bit worried. It's not his whole body but maybe his feet/legs (not sure which part of his body really)
Does anyone feel their baby twitching or shudering from time to time? should I be worried?

I know what you mean, its not a kick type feeling or them moving about, its like a big twitch and it happens a couple of times and your whole belly twicthes really fast, is that right?
I don't know what it is, I wouldn't worry about it though, it could be the uterus actually twicthing which is what I always suspected, it doesn't seem like the baby could do it, maybe from their movements?
This has happened alot with this pregnancy and my last so I dare say its normal.

My DD constantly kicked and punched the whole pg. But DS was squirmy, jerky movements. The fact you say he's like this all the time and the drs have said he is fine, I would say it's normal. I'm not a dr though, go back and get looked at if you are worried.

My boy does this quite a bit!
Its like when you have a muscle twitch in your leg or something, times about a thousand

I have never thought to be concerned about it.
I am sure its all fine but if you are worried ask the doctor, or call the pregnancy information line they are very helpful and if they think it is at all a medical problem will refer you to a healthline who will let you know if you need to go to the doctor/hospital!

Thanks girls, yeah it feels kind of like a brief shudder or shaking, I thought it might be him stretching his limbs and getting that muscle quiver thing- you know what I mean?

On our first ultrasound, she poked at my tummy with the probe and baby sort of jumped, if that makes sense? before I could feel him. I feel like he does that from time to time, startles I guess - I've taken to calling it star jumps because now he's bigger it feels like he's throwing all four limbs out in every direction all at once.

The one that really confuses me is when it feels like he's punching 1,2,3 then KICK. It's like, he cannot possibly be that co-ordinated LOL
